I ran to my English class. I was so tired ( I mean I've been awake for 24 hours now) but still, I maintained myself to somewhat not fall asleep. Luckly, I had not classes today with Andrew, because it would have been pretty awkward acting like nothing happened.

After the bell rang, I just decided to go straight home, as I had no classes left. While leaving, Rosa came from behind me and chuckled;

-What?- she said.

-You are literally smiling like crazy right now,-I giggled.

-Well, Maddie, you should have told me you got a crush,- she winked at me

-What, no I don't..

-Don't lie to me, I saw the way you looked at him!

-Who?! Andrew?! Pfff no!

-I meant Ray actually, the new guy. But, why was your guess Andrew?! Does it mean you have something for him?-she smirked at my direction giving me the look.

-Oh stop it! It's just that a lot has been going on..

-I mean, I thought it was weird he came to the cafeteria like that, but I didn't suppose that you were attracted to-

-I'm not.

-You're blushing though...

-I'm not,- I said while lowering my head,-It's really warm outside.

-Ok, ok I get you!

I went home, and crashed into my bed. I was so friking tired.

After days doing the same old thing, nothing really happened. I wouldn't talk much with Andrew, barely, not at all. My hand was getting used to the bracalet, and school was just like every other day. Rosa was very cheerfull, like she always is. We actually went shoping to buy a dress for each of us. A very rich family made a charity event, and they wanted three students to be hosts. I registered and I got in, along with Rosa, and apparently some other guys.

At the night of the event I wore a red dress, with an open back that complimented perfectly my eyes. I had my hair in loose curls and pinned half up. Before the event Rosa came and we helped each other prepare. I'm not the best with makeup so I asked her to work her magic. I did her long rich brown hair in a beautiful french braid, that made her face shine even more. I also made Jeremy accompany her, and he didn't seem to mind that. In fact, I think I saw them both blush.

I arrieved at the event half an hour before it starteed. We checked the microphones and did some practice. I was going to open and close the event. I was exited but also scared.

The event started, and I was about to walk proudly with confidence on stage. I got the script and stepped into the stafe, nervous but confident. I walked up in the middle of the enormous stage, shifting everyone's focus into me. Loud claps took over me and I put on a big smile, as if everything was under control. I mean, everything WAS under control. I took a deep breath and let the words take over me;

-Good evening, ladies and gentelmen! We welcome you at Hactons' charity event. This event was kindly sponsored by Bradd Hacton, chariman Hacton's son.

Loud claps were heard again, while all eyes were sort of pressuring me to go on;

-Now, I'll present to you the first artist for this night, that is going to play the piano, Berry Colin!- I said gesturing into the backstage where a young boy came, walking confidently. All eyes, were shifted into him, and a felt a weight go off my shoulders. While keeping a bright smile I took the microphone again;

-Enjoy!

After people started claping again, I made my way to the backstage letting out a sigh. Rosa came and hugged me tight;

-You did it, Maddie!

-Yeah...

-It was very brave of you, and you didn't get a single panic attack!

She was right. My anxiety had left for good. Sonce 2nd grade I had anxiety, and through some treatments I overcame it, and to prove that to myself and my parents I took the opportunity to speak in this charity event. It was a great test, and I felt proud.

After that everything went smoothly, until someone walked towards me, slowly, as if it was hiding something.
