3. Not Let You Down

Amazing cover on the side, I must say that the cover fulfills every criteria of this poem.

This is a poem from a young girl's P.O.V. who only realizes after her parents death, that they meant the world to her. And she promises to herself that she'll now live up to their expectations.

NOT LET YOU DOWN

You always held me high,
I'll not let you down.
You held my fingers tight,
When I was scared to climb.

Now are the voices gone,
I am standing here alone.
I'll have to learn myself,
Now that you're not here.

You said it was all for me,
I took it playfully.
But now that you are gone,
I realize what that was.

You tried to make me believe
Who I see is me.
Now that I've learnt the truth,
The dawn will rise, after dark.

Won't be stopping now,
Let the storm rage on.
You always held me high,
I'll not let you down.

You got me here,
Gotta go ahead.
I'll not let you down.

Everybody's standing up,
But I'll standout.
Everybody's breaking grounds,
I'm gonna breakthrough now.

Everybody's scratching it,
I have scratched so hard.
Everybody's going there,
I went the extra miles.

Let the storm grow wild,

Have seen my limits,
Gonna break them now.

Hope you liked it. I know it is not as deep like my other poems, but still it is beautiful and I know it! It was actually a song, but then me being me converted into a poem. No, I did not copy a song, I wrote the song by myself. So see, no plagiarism.
