Chapter 28

Jiaqi's POV

It feels so good that I told someone about my feelings.

Mostly because it's Xueer. She's my bestfriend. I'm just glad that I honestly told her about my feelings for Lingzi already.

But she told me that I should confess. Well she's right.

But I've never done that.

Not even once in my life.

What should I do?

"Jiaqi, What are you thinking?"

Lingzi asked.

We are here at the cafe again. It became our routine already. I'm just happy that I could spend time with her.

I'm scared that if I confessed my feelings, We might never have a chance to do these things again.

"Nothing. Just about school."

I said. She won't know even if I lied though.

"Oh okay. I'm gonna tell you a secret, Jiaqi."

She said.

A secret?

"Sure. What is it?"

I asked. I'm curious.

"First, It's not my secret but because I trust you, I'll tell it to you. Second, Don't you dare say it to anyone else or I won't be talking to you anymore. Got that?"

She said and I just gulped and nodded. Wow she's harsh.

"It's about my cousin, Yuxin."

She started.

"Is it really fine that you're telling me your cousin's secret?"

I asked.

"Yeah it is. Don't worry. I trust you that's why I'm telling you this."

She said. Does she really trust me that much that she's even telling me secrets of other people?

"Okay. Continue."

I said.

"Yuxin likes Xueer."

She said calmly and took a sip from her drink.

What the fuck?

YUXIN LIKES XUEER?!?!

There's no way that would happen!!!

No one can like Xueer!

S--She just got from a b--break up. Right.

"That's not true, right?"

I said. There's no way it can be true.

They are obviously just friends.

Or not?

"Do I look like I'm joking, Jiaqi? I'm telling you it's true. Yuxin told me last Saturday."

She said.

So it's true?

But Xueer.

They're so close.

What if Xueer like her back?

She just got from a breakup months ago.

She can't have another relationship again.

Not yet.

I don't want her to get hurt again.

"Oh. Yuxin texted me. Let's get back to the parking lot. She's with her girl."

She said and stood up while I just followed her.

Her girl? Xueer is not even hers.

And she won't be.

"Hey, Couz!! Oh. Hey, Jiaqi."

Yuxin said as she saw me and Lingzi approaching them.

Lingzi's right. She and Xueer are together.

"Hey, J-Jiaqi."

Xueer greeted me.

"Lingzi, Let's go home?"

Yuxin said and we just looked at her.

Lingzi nodded to her. She's so cute.

"We'll be going now, Jiaqi. Goodbye. Take care. Bye, Xueer."

Lingzi said and waved to us.

"Bye, Xueer. I'll see you tomorrow. Bye, Jiaqi!"

Yuxin said but before they leave, she pulled Xueer into a hug first.

What the fuck?

Is it really necessary to give a hug after saying goodbye?!?!

"Jiaqi, Let's go?"

She said and we went in my car.

She doesn't bring her car anymore because I told her that it's better if we go to school and got back home together.

"Have you confessed yet?"

Xueer asked me while I'm driving.

"Nah. I think it's not yet the right time."

I said. I'm still on the process of gathering up my courage. I can't just confess to her.

"Coward."

She mumbled but I heard it.

"Are you and Yuxin dating?"

I asked. She looked at me with a confused face.

"Where did you get that? What the fuck are you saying?"

She said.

"I'm just asking since you're with Yuxin everytime I see you at school."

I explained.

It's true though. They are like magnets.

"We're not dating. You already asked that before. We're just friends."

She said so I just nodded and continued driving.

It feels so good to hear that they're not dating.

I just feel like it's not yet time for Xueer to be in a relationship again.

I'm her bestfriend.

I just want the best for her.
