Leyton left almost immediately after we got home.

I loved everything about the house. The blue accents and the quiet luxury it represents. This is exactly how I would style my own home.

I figured it was Silver's room by the smell of her perfume which still lingered inside.

The other room was beige-accented with a hint of dark blue and didn't look like someone slept there in a long time. Where did he sleep last night, then?

It looked like it could be driver or maid's quarter if he had any staff but the space was clean with no trace of people.

I love it. It almost felt like the house was made just for me.

The plants and flowers all looked like they were cared for and properly maintained. But I need some vegetables here.

That's what I do. I grow vegetables. I started with mongo seeds when I was eight and I always planted vegetables since then.

Karina was never allowed to get her hands dirty due to her immune system and both my parents barely tolerated my hobby for planting.

I made a mental note of harvesting them so they won't go to waste.

Maybe cabbage and carrots, too.

I found myself sweeping the area and was sweating by the time I was done.

I let out a satisfied smile and began to walk back to the house.

I settled for a white soft camisole and loose baby pink cotton shorts.

I was organizing my hospital duty essentials when Leyton came in the room.

"Is there anything you want for dinner?" kaswal na tanong niya habang pinapanood akong pilit na pinagkakasya ang sphygmomanometer sa lalagyan nito.

"We'll order unless, you wanted to cook something?" bahagyang nakangiti na sabi niya.

He looked mildly surprised. "I'm starting to think what I'm getting from this marriage," nanunudyong sabi niya.

He looked like he was joking but I felt a bit offended.

He should have thought of that before marrying a girl he doesn't know.

I gritted my teeth in response and closed the zipper of my medical supplies organizer with force.
