March 15, 1977

Stevie, Lindsey, John, and Christine were sat behind Stevie's desk in the pack office and they were waiting for their next interviewee to come in. But Stevie was sad. Stevie was sad because she still was not with child and she and Lindsey had been knotting at least once a month but then they were having casual sex quite often and for some reason, she just wasn't getting pregnant and she was about ready to go to Dr. Harris and ask for some Fertility shots, but she'd never admit that.

"Jenine and Lori Gray are here to speak to you." Ruth poked her head in. Stevie had given her the job of secretary and showing the potential new members to the office and so on and so forth.

"Alright," Stevie smiles as she opens the door wider and an older woman with brown graying hair and a young woman around her age with red hair walked in.

"Hello. I'm Alpha Stephanie Nicks-Buckingham, this is my husband Lindsey Buckingham. My Beta John McVie and his wife Christine McVie." She stands up and hold out her hand.

"Jenine Gray this is my daughter Lori. We're looking for asylum to get away from well..." Jenine starts.

"It's okay, you don't have to disclose anything that you don't want to. I believe you if you need to get away from your mate and father we're going to try and help you as best as we can." Stevie starts.

"It's not...It's not my father. Gordon Perry is the new Alpha for the Blood Moon Pack. His mate died she was killed in a car accident. He's taken it upon himself to choose me as his sub-mate. But He's. He's mean and he won't leave me alone. I told him NO and I got a broken rib. He never laid a hand on me but his stupid goons did. We just don't feel comfortable there anymore. My father just passed away from natural causes about a month back and the stalking and the roughness got worse because my father isn't here to protect me anymore." Lori looks down.

"But it's werewolf law that the only way someone can be a sub-mate is if their mate is dead as well." Lindsey looks to her.

"We know, I haven't found my mate yet but Gordon told me that if I did find my mate and they were on his pack land he'd make sure to kill him so we could legally mate." Lori looks down.

"I'm so sorry love." Christine sighs.

"Me too." Stevie reaches over and grabs Lori's hand.

'Well let's see so our first question is what do you do in your free time. I swim in the pack pool or I play guitar." Lindsey asks.

"I write, but I don't get much free time. But if I'm not working or chasing after our baby I write." Stevie smiles.

"I play the piano." Christine grins.

"I go boating," John explains.

"I love babies. I can't wait until I meet my mate and I have a baby. Beta McVie do you guys have children?" Lori questions.

"No, not yet. Someday we will though." John nods.

"Would you like to meet Ella?" Stevie questions.

"Oh, I would love too." Lori beams.

"Come on." Stevie pushes back from her chair and leads the group out to the backyard where she knows Ella is playing with the other pups.

They watch in on them for a little while, they're playing on the playground toys and Ella is continually going down the slide but at least she's waiting her turn in line. When Ella gets to the top of the slide, Stevie squats down in front of it in her white dress with pink flowers on it and as Ella slides down Stevie scoops her up in her arms and holds her close.
