I was just in my room. watching tv. doing absolutely nothing. what my summer consisted of.

then I got a text

gilinsky: can I take you out today?

madeline:depends....what are we gonna do.

obviously I want to go out with him but why not play hard to get ?

gilinsky:maybe to the mall or ice skating?

madeline: hmm,sounds intriguing

gilinsky: so is that a yes .?

madeline: I guess so. (:

gilinsky: okay well I'll meet you downstairs in 20 ?

madeline: k

I then got ready into some casual clothes for whatever this occasion is,and went downstairs.

at the last step,I stopped and observed him.
-graphic tee , khaki pants, vans , beanie , sweater

casual yet so handsome

we walked towards the door and we got into his car.

"so have you decided where you wanted to go?" gilinsky asks

"uhmm..." I pause

"let's go ice skating!"

"sounds good with me" he says and starts driving

silence came among us as we were driving but it wasn't awkward.

-comfortable silence

jack then rested his big hand on my thigh. very close to my knee

I stopped looking outside and turned to him so I was directly looking at him. he also turned so our eyes met.

I looked back outside because something in me couldn't face him.

just something about looking in his eyes scared me.

while I was thinking of him, I was observing the drugstores,trees,and restaurants that we were passing outside.

the drive basically flew by and we were there.

we got out and rented our skates then sat down to put them on.

"ya know,I'm not very good at this" gilinsky blurts out

"it's okay, I can help you" I smile

"what if I fall on you?" he asks

I giggle "well then you fall on me"

he smiles back and nods his head.

we walk to the ice and I start skating as soon as I step on it.

I've always been pretty good at it.

jack was just going really slow so I went back and I helped him.

I grabbed his hand and slowly led him on the ice.

he finally got a hang of it and we did it together.

we skated on the ice and all my problems just faded away

happiness ? sure

but not for long
