I 100% think they are going to play with Jeronica next season. I definitely see a friendship brewing and possible romance end of season 5 going into season 6. If u pay attention even with Riverdale horrid writing Jeronica has been forshawed as well as Barchie imo. Barchie more in your face and Jeronica with little hints and crumbs. One major one that comes 2 mind is the episode where they play their parents. I think that was a way 2 test the waters on both pairing Chemistry imo.

I really hope so!! I agree, I can see there are things that the writers have done in order to test the waters with Jeronica and see how audiences react, with their kiss in season 2, and then having them play young F.P. and Hermione, where they had sooo much chemistry with their almost kiss scene, because Colemila have such great on- screen chemistry. Jeronica have so many parallels in their stories and interests also with how they are always matching in their colour schemes with the dark colours. I mean that's all done deliberately by the writers and costume department, they are always slightly teasing with their crumbs and being very subtle with it. I believe there will be more Jeronica scenes in season 5 after they find out about the cheating. I just hope they have the guts to actually make Jeronica happen because it's obvious that Barchie is going to happen after the time jump. Making Jeronica have a friendship that develops into a romance over the next season would actually make a lot of sense narrativly and the writers have a very open opportunity for this to happen, in a way that it feels organic rather than forced after B*ghead and V*rchie break up because of Barchie cheating. If the writers decided to finally remember how to write a good storyline they would do this, but LOL you've seen the shit they pull, but I would die for Jeronica to happen in canon.

I wish they would show veronica and jughead making/understanding references to movies/books while Betty and Archie sit there confused lol.

I was thinking...What if the writers choose one of us Jeronica shippers to write the whole plot about them? Wouldn't that be interesting? Or even choose one of our stories. Now... what would you write?

Oooh! Bare with me this is long, I'm writing my own fanfics here lmao. The way I would love to see Jeronica come together, would be after they find out about the Barchie cheating they are both obviously very distraught about it and through that they both begin to lean on one another, while going through this rough time. Since I'm a sucker for slow burns, I would have them first find solace in one another, where they both feel like the other person can truly understand how they feel. Then through this grieving period, they both slowly become companions and a friendship develops naturally through them, spending more and more time together and growing closer to the point, where they can't go a day without talking. They talk about literature and movies and go to Pop's for milkshakes and burgers, and make all the pop culture references in the world that they don't need to explain, because they just get each other. Through all this they realize just how much time they wasted judging each other for their superficial differences, when in reality they were always more alike than they were different. Then, I love the trope of having them deny their romantic feelings for one another, like Kevin and Choni will confront them and be like "Veronica and Jughead, you guys seem to be spending a lot of time together...😏 It's crazy you're not together already, because you guys act like a couple" and this will then lead to them to be like lol, nooo we're just friends😅. Secretly, they both will finally let those feelings they always kept trying to avoid and lock away ever since their kiss in the hot tub, that confirmed the electricity they always felt in each other's presence since that dreary day Veronica came to Riverdale. All those feelings now come rushing to the surface and they try to suppress it, because they're scared of ruining the that little, but vital piece of happiness in their lives. However, it gets to the point they can't keep it up and they give in to their feelings and then make it official and Jeronica, then become that couple, that no one would have thought of ever being together, but when seeing them together it just makes sense.
