Barry had to meet up with Oliver for a training session. He was late. He had Mitch follow along. But because his speed was way above his car. Barry gave Mitch like a hour head start. When they both got the place Oliver wanted to meet up. He was waiting on a porch like structure with his compound bow in his hands. Barry greeted his friend. "You're late." Oliver said. "Barry, how can you have super-speed and still not be on time?"
"Oh, sorry that was my fault I told him I wanted to see how a super hero gets the crap beat out of him." Mitch explained.
Oliver nodded his head at Mitch and looked at Barry. "How do we catch Bivolo here?" Barry asked curiously.
"Oh, no, we don't here. We're here to train." Oliver said.
"What? Like Rocky?" Barry chuckled.
Mitch sighed in embarrassment and threw his head back in annoyance. He then reached in his jacket pocket and pulled out his packet of cigarettes and placed one in his mouth, pulled out his lighter and lit his cigarette. "Man, how are you still alive?!" He said.
Oliver rolled his eyes and changed the subject to something to where Barry would understand what he is doing wrong in the business of vigilantism. "I read your friend Iris' blog post on The Flash, and I visited all the crime scenes you fought at."
"ALL of them, how long you been doin' this?" Mitch asked.
"Maybe almost half a year." Barry estimated. "But, I get the job done, I am the hero."
Mitch laughed so hard. "You know what they call those people in the service that don't up with a plan, wing it but live and get the job done in the end?" Mitch got up close to Barry. Barry shrugged his shoulders. "Lucky." he answered. "I'm sure Ollie over was already going to tell you this but you don't want to be lucky in this type of business you want to win the battle right, with a full proof plan."
"Right," Oliver said at unease considering not a lot of people are on the same page with him when it comes to this kind of stuff. "You took on a man named Lenard Snart."
"We call him Captain Cold." Barry corrected him with a smile.
"We can talk about you giving your enemies silly code names later."
"You mean like over coffee with Deathstroke and The Huntress?" Barry said believing that Oliver's point didn't exactly make any sense to him.
"The point is that you engaged Snart on a commuter train, which he derailed."
"Okay, there may have been some damage, but I got the job done, I was the hero." Barry explained himself.
"Barry let me help you buddy Oliver in explaining this to you," Mitch cut in. "When you approach a new environment, you can still be the hero and do it right, and have your own flare of doing. Take me for example, I tend to go against my bosses orders because the person giving her the strings to pull on me, tend to be complete dumbasses." Mitch said taking a puff of smoke.
"Mitch is right," Oliver said as he started walking off to a field in front of the abandoned building. "There's a difference between having powers and having precision." Barry was following him. Mitch stood back and continued to smoke his cigarette.
"When I came to you thinking about going out and helping people you said I could be an inspiration." Barry shared.
Oliver went over to his bike, and pulled out one of his arrows out of the arsenal and knocked it to the bow. "Living this life... Well, it takes more than a mask. It takes discipline. And since you are probably as stubborn as I am..." When Oliver knocked the arrow to the bow Barry felt at unease.
"Woah, what is that for?" he said pointing at the arrow knocked on the bow.
"You're going to run over there, you're going to come back at me," he paused, "and you're going to get hit with an arrow."
Barry started to laugh. "No, I'm not."
Oliver mocked his laugh. "Yes, you are."
"Okay, fine," Barry laughed then leaned backwards pointing at Oliver with both pointer fingers. "I will humor you." Barry rushed over the hill. He cup his hands over his mouth. "Ready?"
"Ready." Oliver said as he pulled back on the bow aiming the arrow right at Barry's head. He let go and Barry ran over and caught the arrow with his hand. He was cocky about it.
Mitch noticed the two crossbows set up on the ground. He pulled out his Beretta and shot both arrows out of the way of Barry's back.
"What the, you were going to shoot me?" Barry said shocked that Oliver would even consider even doing something like that.
"Don't worry I heard you heal quick." Oliver walked away from Barry and Mitch got on his bike and drove off. Mitch threw his cigarette on the ground and stepped on it with his foot. Mitch got over to Barry,
"Don't expect me to be there all the time you are out in the field." Mitch reminded him with a smile and walked to his car. Leaving Barry to think in the middle of the field.
