Barry walked into the precinct to find Mitch at his desk, Joe at his, and Eddie in Captain Singh's Office arguing with the Captain. Barry walked up to Mitch and Joe. "Hey." Barry called to Joe. "What's up?" He pointed his thumb to Singh's Office with a squinted confused look on his face.
"Eddie's making his case for the task force again." Joe explained.
"But I thought the Captain shot him down already." Barry wondered.
Mitch shrugged his shoulders. "Well, apparently he's got a new argument." Mitch guessed.
Joe looked at Barry as he was gathering some files. "The Arrow made another appearance last night." Joe told Barry, as they walked over to the front of the precinct's entrance to the front desk. "And you forgot to tell me that you got Bivolo's name from shooting that storage guy in the leg." Joe whispered angrily.
"Well, technically I didn't shoot him." Barry mentioned.
"Well, what word would you use to describe how you got this info?" Joe asked sarcastically. "I'm gonna go with 'torture'." Joe said as he handed a file to a cop at the front desk of the precinct.
"I don't..." Barry said trying to come up some sort of explanation. "The Arrow gets results."
Joe and Barry walked back over to where Mitch was sitting processing some files. "He's a crazy man." Joe called him.
Mitch looked up. "Look," Mitch said. "If you are calling the guy that uses torture to get answers, and gets called a hero then the government and I are not that far from it."
"See Joe," Barry gestured at Mitch. "He killed a terrorist, so he could save the President's Cabinet and White House Staff."
Joe turned to Mitch. "How did you do that, anyways?" Joe asked curiously.
"Oh, no," Mitch said. "That is a story for another day, actually all of my stories will be for another day." Mitch looked up at the ceiling in thought.
"Anyways," Barry said changing the subject. "we wouldn't even have Bivolo's name if it weren't for The Arrow. So maybe instead of judging him, you should just be thanking him." Barry said defending his friend.
"Two things I won't be doing in this life..." Joe pulled up two fingers and listed his two things. "Playing professional baseball, and thanking that lunatic." Joe said and left Barry and Mitch in the precinct.Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Cisco was analyzing the material that makes the boomerang that Felicity brought with her from Starling City. He left it for a moment to work on something else. Caitlin and Felicity were talking girl nerdy talk and talking how to catch Bivolo. "Have you heard of color psychology?" Caitlin asked Felicity as the walked through the Cortex to the computer systems.
"The theory that changes in the color spectrum can affect emotion." Felicity answered, making sound like the question was too easy to answer for her.
"It is so nice to have another woman to talk to." Caitlin loathed.
"I know." Felicity smiled bigly and rolled her eyes.
"I was thinking that if Bivolo uses color to induce the temporary psychosis, maybe we can use light and color to revers it." Caitlin explained her theory.
Felicity now had a real question about Mitch. "Caitlin, who is the new guy?"
"Mitch oh, he just happened to find out about the Flash and came all the way from Langley, and he then decided to help us catch the meta-humans. Oh, and I guess he saved the President's life and the lives of the White House Staff." Caitlin explained very much like Felicty would have.
"I'm sorry but Oliver Queen totally beat his level of hotness." Felicity drooled. "Which I would know because I work for Oliver Queen and his family's company." She said quickly as she rambled on about Oliver Queen's not-a-vigilante-life.
"Oh, really? I haven't exactly noticed." Caitlin said as she bit her lower lip in embarrassment.
They both giggled, and then Dr. Wells, rolled by the Cortex entrance in his wheelchair. "Miss Smoak, a word, if you please." Dr. Wells Smiled as he slowly rolled on by."Hey, what's up, doc?" Felicity mocking Bugs Bunny from Looney Tunes. She then realized what she said was ignorant to say to one of the most famous and recognizable scientists in the world. "Sorry, that was dumb. Remember I went to M.I.T." Felicity reminded him as the were walking down the hallway to the elevators.
"Yes, you're smart." Dr. Wells joked with a kind smile. "Felicity, I like to surround my team with known quantities. That is because I find the unknown to be toxic, dangerous." Dr. Wells and Felicity stopped in the middle of the hallway in front of the elevators. "The Arrow is unknown."
"I can assure you, Dr. Wells, he's not dangerous." Felicity said with a smile and kindness in her eyes. "To us." She rethought out loud.
"Well, of that, I have little doubt. And yet, I find myself with a conundrum. How can I completely trust a man when I don't even know his name? And so, I was hoping, Miss Smoak, that you could help me trust him." Dr. Wells paused for a breath and asked the question. "Who is he under the hood?"
"That is not my secret to tell, Dr. Wells." Felicity said sounding serious.
"Of course. I'll figure it out on my own." Dr. Wells warned Felicity calmly.
