"Hey, Keeps. Are you still awake?" June asked after Keeper answered her call. "Yes po, tita June, about to go to bed. Okay lang po ba kayo dyan? Is Page okay?" He asked. He couldn't help but worry after getting a call from June that late. "Yeah, we're okay, Keeps. Sorry kung pinag-alala kita. Page is fine. I was just going to ask you for a huge favor," June started to say. Keeper sat on his bed wondering what June was going to ask of him. "Are you guys busy tomorrow? You and your mom," June asked. "No po, tita. We were actually planning on dropping by and if we could, mag-hang out po sana with you and Page," Keeper informed her. "Oh, good good," June replied. "Bakit po?" Keeper asked this time. "Eh kasi I was going to ask if you could come extra early? Like right before Page wakes up. Mga six if you guys could make it that early para nandito na kayo before the morning rounds sana," June told him. "Sige po, tita. I'll let mom know," Keeper replied. "Thanks, Keeps. Tell her I'm going to borrow her tomorrow. Ikaw na muna iiwan ko dito kay Page if okay lang sayo, para makapag-bonding din kayo," June said which made Keeper smile. "I'd like that very much," he said to her. "I knew you would," June replied. Even she couldn't help but smile. "Just update me through messenger. I won't tell you where I'm going para hindi mo rin masabi kay Page. I won't tell her anything either," she said to him. "Uh-oh. You know she hates it when you keep things from her, tita," Keeper reminded her. "It's for her own good, Keeps. Don't worry," June assured him. "I hope you won't do anything that would harm you po or her," Keeper said worriedly. "No, no. Of course not, Keeps. Para mo naman akong hindi kilala. May mga aasikasohin lang ako. 'Wag mo pabayaan anak ko ha, first time ko yan iiwan ng mag-isa dito sa hospital," June said. "Makakaasa po kayo," Keeper replied before the two of them said their goodbyes and ended the call.
The next morning, Keeper and his mother, Sandy, arrived right on time. June was already dressed up. "Missed you, girly," Sandy said as she gave her friend a hug and a kiss on the cheeks. "Missed you too, Sandy," June replied as they let go of the hug. "Kikidnapin mo daw ako for today?" Sandy asked. "Yup, I hope you're ready," June said with a little playful smile. "Bakit kinabahan ako dun?" Sandy asked. June laughed a little. "Keeps, ikaw na bahala, okay? I don't know what time I'm going to bring your mother back to you," she said as she smiled at him, too. "It's okay. I trust you. I'll take care of your daughter, you take care of my mother," Keeper said as he grinned back at her. "Sure will. Tell her don't bother calling because I won't answer," June instructed as she pointed at Page. "And tell her na 'wag nya kunin yung mga pillows na nilagay ko sa may ulohan nya. She had another seizure while I was in the bathroom last night, I almost left a trail of pee from the toilet all the way to her bed kakamadali ko. Buti na lang naabutan ko," June reminded him again. "Noted po, tita," Keeper said with a nod. "Bantayan mo rin pala if she eats, okay? The doctor wants to take note kung may change sa appetite nya. If she won't eat, encourage her. Kung hindi mo mapilit, write it down para alam ko. So far naman okay yung appetite nya, but she's been complaining na her seizures have been giving her nausea so nasusuka sya. Make a note of that, too," June said and Keeper nodded in return. June took a deep breath as she watched her daughter still sound asleep. "Keeps, tell her to stop trying to get up, okay? She's working herself up when she does that," June said. Keeper nodded again. "Okay po, tita," he said to her. Then June sighed again. "I think you've covered everything," Sandy said as she gently held her friend's arm. "Did I?" June asked worriedly. "Ayaw mo na umalis? We can stay here if you don't want to leave her. I can run the errand for you," Sandy offered, but June shook her head. "No, Sandy. Thank you, pero I need to do this myself. I'd like your company though if that's okay with you," June said with a little smile. "Oo naman, I'll come with you," Sandy replied as she gave June a little hug. Then June went over to her daughter and gave her a kiss on the forehead. She sighed again before she finally walked towards the door. She looked at Page one last time before she nodded at Keeper who gave her a quick salute as she and Sandy left the room.
