We made it to the Ruby Dome Casino on March 3rd. It was an unusually big building, covered in red and white lights that brightened the sky. There was also a sign near the top of the building. Its roof was shaped like a dome. Before we got there, Maple had tried her best to patch Nep up at least a little which was all we needed for the moment. She had lots of bandages covering her leg and a sort of splint. We also took time to learn each other's names and Duck somehow found a katana though he wouldn't say where he got it.
Anyways, we got there and there were a lot of people, as in more people than I'd seen in five years. Many of them we had never seen before. We headed to the front desk to check-in. The lady looked up.
"Welcome to the Ruby Dome Casino. How may I help you?"
"We are here to join the tournament. All of us except her." I replied as I gestured at Nep.
The lady quickly counted us and looked down at a piece of paper.
"What a coincidence. There are enough spots for all of you, leaving one spot left for grabs.." She responded," Here, sign this waiver and you are good to go. Please grab your keys from that rack near the desk."
We all quickly signed our names on the waiver and grabbed our keys. We had decided to stay in the main room first to check out the competition. I was hanging out with Duck when he accidentally bumped into a slim girl, who was a little shorter than me. She quickly pulled out a katana.
"Woah there!" He said, throwing up his hands in surprise," Umm, hi."
She glared at him before putting the katana away and holding out her hand.
"I'm Madoka Sawachika," She said," I'd say it's a pleasure to meet you but I wouldn't be telling you the full truth."
He shook her hand," Well I'm Duck, I was glad to meet someone new, but now I'm not."
Her stern expression turned to a wry smile," It's good knowing that there's someone else here who can be a match for my quick insults, I hope we meet again."
When she walked off, he wiped his hand off on his shirt and kept talking. We got to our room and realized just then that staying at Bath Bed and Tears wouldn't have been worth it. The beds were huge and so was basically everything. I looked around a bit more and found a hot tub, fully stocked fridge, and a dresser full of every assortment of dress, tuxedo, and jewelry imaginable.
"Oh yeah," I said, stuffing some of the jewelry in my pocket," this is definitely worth it."
Apple and Maple looked shocked," Even I have to say, these people don't slack off when it comes to rooms." Apple said and Maple nodded slowly.
"Pillow fight!" Someone yelled and I was hit in the head with a huge pillow.
I was stunned at first but then decided that I could stoop below my queenly standards for once.
"THIS MEANS WAR!" I yelled and chucked the pillow at Adriel.
After a few minutes of intense pillow fighting, we all fell on the ground laughing and tired.
"Alright," Timmy said," if I ever thought Bath, Bed, and Tears was the best, I might have found another contestant for that spot." he paused," No offense."
"None taken." Maple said breathlessly," This place is great!"
We all stayed up for hours and talked about what we were going to try doing first and what the competition would be like. After some debate, we decided the pool was next on the agenda and jumped in. There were, even more, fights and Tiko dove in, splashing everyone. Only after we all calmed down did it occur that we were still wearing our regular clothes. We all got into some of the outfits in the closet which was interesting, to say the least. Nep couldn't decide what to put on and said that she'd rather wear her soaked clothes than one of the dresses.
