I sat in my room alone. After what Nep did, I don't know if I should trust her anymore. No one knew, no one knew about me, about her, or that she even existed! Now they know I'm here, they might even know what she is, and we could both pay for that with our lives. She won't care, but I have all of New York to supply with food and safety. This may come as a shock to you people, but I'm an actual ruler, and I care about people.

I looked around the space-themed room, the ceiling looked just like the stars used too, before we were all running away from things too fast to see them. There were no windows, probably because it's underground. I do still wonder what the sky looks like, is it even still there? Who knows. Nep is right, I can't help her. I can't help anyone, not her, not me, not even this damn city. She yells at me for making false promises, but who am I to go and say, 'Yeah, by the way, you are stuck in eternal suffering with death as your only option.' I'm not that heartless. I'd rather say that I could help, then give her just another reason to hope for death.

There was a knock at the door that interrupted my thinking.

"Who is it?" I asked, sounding more frustrated than I should have.

"It's Apple. We were wondering what happened earlier."

I froze. What if they heard Nep? What if they knew about her? What could happen if they knew she was infected? So many questions rushed through my head as I walked to the door.

"Yes?" I said as I opened the star-covered door," ow can I help?"

"Well, what happened that everyone needed to go back to their rooms? We all need to know. Also, have you seen Lune? Our pet owl? She is missing."

"Oh no! I'm sorry, no I haven't seen her. I hope you find her soon." I said quickly and closed the door.

"Umm.. thank you? You never answered my other question." I heard her quietly on the other side of the door.

Just ignore them, they'll go away. I thought to myself. Then I heard footsteps. It sounded like they were walking away. Good. I could breath easy again.

I hated it. I hated The fact that Nep caused this. I hated the fact that I was scared every time I heard people. I hated the fact that we could both be killed because I had to try and control her. I hated the fact that she hadn't even come back. I hated her for it!

No no. I can't think like that. I can't hate her for my mistakes. It's my own damn fault that she felt like she was being treated like a kid. If she wanted to be treated like an adult she would go find a group. See if they'll accept her as what she is. Or they could kill her, treat her like the infection she is. She never seemed to understand that they wouldn't be accepting.

I threw my knife across the room. It went through the door partly, and I heard a scream from the other side. It didn't sound like Apple or Maple, who else knew I was here? Maybe they were just passing by. I stood up and walked over to the door and pulled the knife out. I looked through the hole the knife made, there were four people standing in front of my door all mumbling something I couldn't hear. One of them knocked on the door. I opened it immediately. They jumped.

"What do you want?" I asked, sounding bored.

"Uh, well you look suspicious." Oe of them said.

"And you look like a gay toad. What. Do. You. Want?" I said violently.

"It's Meme Man.." He said quietly.

"Nice, but I don't remember asking. Why are you here?"

"We know who you are." Another one said.

"Oh, and I can guess your name! Umm...Timmy? You look like a Timmy." I said, trying to divert the conversation.

"No, I'm Jimmy, this is my brother Timmy." He said,

"And this one is?" I said pointing at the other one.

"Oh, that's a Duck." Meme Man said.

"Ok, what's up," I said, giving up on redirecting the conversation," what do you want?"

"We know who you are." Jimmy said again.

"Mimi? Yeah, I know that too. Good day!" I said and tried to shut the door, but a certain gay toad stopped it.

"We know it's you Muffin, and we will tell everyone else too." He said.

I froze, standing there with a blank expression on my face. Damnit! I should've been better to Nep, then things wouldn't have gotten this out of hand and we would have been able to finish the plan. I shouldn't have antagonized her.

"What? No way." I said,

"You are the only one it could be." Timmy said.

"What do you mean?"

"The lady said you were the only one to come with someone else that was human." The gay toad said.

"So what? What if it's the other person?"

"It's not." Duck said.

"Just leave me alone." I muttered as I closed the door.

I looked out the hole in the door that I made with my knife. They were laughing! I thought about throwing the knife at them, but no, not yet. That's for later. Nep needs to see the lives she practically ended (and I will end later for their rudeness). A few minutes later, they left, and so did I. I would find Nep. She couldn't hide from me. I walked out into the hallway. There was the room next to me where the girl who never left her room was.

I walked over to the door and put my ear against it. I heard noises, squawking, probably a pet bird. There was also the girl. I listened to what they were saying.

"Why did you let me live?" she screamed.

 The bird squawked sadly.

"I asked one thing! To be able to end myself peacefully! And you, you big oversized rat! You saved me!" She screamed.

I winced thinking about how bad she had it. If I could, I would help her.

The bird stayed silent. Either she hurt it, or it was too scared to do anything.

"And I shouldn't yell at you and I shouldn't have called you a rat Tiko. But next time, I die, understand?"

"SQUAWCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!" It screamed.

I nearly fell over, shocked by how loud the bird could be.

"Jesus Shut up!!!!" She shouted.

Ya know, I should leave. I thought. I walked away toward the front desk. All I've got to do is find Nep. I walked towards the cafeteria to check but I saw Maple instead.

"Hey, sourry to bother you, but we go a report from someone here, could we talk?"

---------------------

Gosh I love dramatic tension.

The best part? With the perspective switches, it could be a couple chapters before you even figure out what was going on.

Lucky for yalls, that's not how we roll and the drama will progress quickly so we can get on to more drama!

Who knew the apocalypse could be so entertaining?
