Roman's POV
After not being able to reach Violet, I decided to get some much needed sleep. I must have slept longer than I originally intended as I could hear Dean yelling to get up.
"I'm up, I'm up." I mumbled while sitting up and rubbing my eyes as I glanced at the clock and it only read 3pm meaning we still had an hour to get to the arena." What the hell man, it's not even time to go." I said glancing from Dean to Seth.
"You need to see something brother." Seth said handing me his phone. I looked at what was on his screen and noticed it was Andrade's Instagram." What the fuck." I said as I looked at his latest post which was of him and Violet at the beach. I know she was working with him and as I much as I hated seeing his hands on what was mine I could handle him placing his hands on her ass while kissing her. What I couldn't stand was the last photo, where he very clearly had his hand in her bikini bottoms while they were making out.
"If it makes you feel any better, Vi' seems to be caught off guard in the last photo." Dean commented and I suppose he was right, she looked uncomfortable in the last photo but I was still not happy about it.
I picked up my phone and called her. She picked up after three rings." Before you say anything, I called to warn you and you didn't pick up. If anything it felt awkward but it's work right." Violet said before I could even open my mouth.
"Did he finger you?" I asked not even bothering to dance around the question.
"What?! No he didn't finger me. He tried to slip his hand into my bikini bottoms but stopped the second I told him I was uncomfortable." She replied." You really think I'd let him do that? Good to know what you really think of me babe." She said full of attitude and I knew I hit a nerve.
"That's not what I meant..I." I began to say but she cut me off.
"No it is what you meant. You saw a picture and assumed the worst, after giving me a whole ass lecture about it not even a month ago. I saw the interview you did today and the pictures from your little breakfast but you don't see me throwing accusations at you." She said.
"You're right but I didn't assume the worst of you, I assumed the worst of him. I know Andrade tries to sleep with all the new girls, me and the boys were in NXT when he first joined." I tried to reason.
"Andrade's been nothing but respectful to me since we've started working together. You're dating me not Andrade, remember that. Listen I have to go, we have mandatory training." Violet said clearly done with this conversation.
"Wait Vi'.."I said and she sighed softly.
"What Roman?!" She said still full of attitude.
"I'm sorry for overreacting..I love you." I said softly feeling horrible for assuming the worst when I got on her for doing the exact same thing.
"Love you too." She replied before hanging up and I sighed heavily wondering what the hell I just did.
"It's okay brother, she knows you're coming from a good place." Seth said patting my back.
Violet's POV
I sighed heavily and slipped my phone back in my gym bag. I had stepped out of the performance center to take the call with Roman. Although now I wish I hadn't, that call went way worse then I had expected. Had Andrade slightly crossed the line, yes. But he immediately stopped when I asked him to, no questions asked.
Nothing happened and nothing was going to happen. I didn't have time to focus on the phone call though, I had to train. I walked back inside the performance center and set my bag aside then walked over to the punching bag and began to go to town to the beat of the music I was listening to. I zoned out everything and focused on my breath and form. Hitting a punching bag had always been my form of therapy since a preteen. It kept my mind focused on a singular task and kept me from killing anyone.
I was just getting into a good headspace, when suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder. I swear if it was little miss sunshine that tapped me, today was gonna be the day she dies. I turned around and took an earphone out as I saw Andrade was the one who tapped me."¿Estás bien? no quisiera ser ese saco de boxeo." Andrade said asking if was okay because he would not want to be that punching bag right now.
"Bueno, a menos que quieras convertirte en el saco de boxeo, es posible que no quieras hablar conmigo ahora.." I said telling Andrade unless he wanted to become the punching bag, now may not be the time to talk to me.
"Creo que necesitas un objetivo en movimiento si estás tratando de sacar tu ira amor." Andrade suggested picking up boxing gloves then tossed me a pair.
"¿Estás seguro de esto?" I asked Andrade if he was sure about this as we put on the gloves as I wasn't sure I could control my anger. Actually I knew I wouldn't be able to.
"A real man can handle a women no matter how angry she is." Andrade replied in English which surprised me.
"I thought Vince said you only speak Spanish." I said as we stepped in the ring together.
"He said I wasn't fluent in English, which I'm not." Andrade replied his accent thick but I could more or less understand his English." Come on mami, let out your anger." He said motioning me to go ahead.
"Don't say I don't warn you, papi." I said saying it in a joking manner as I did a one two combination that he blocked.
"That's all you got?" He teased and threw a jab at me that I blocked.
I took a deep breath then zoned into my anger and let go. I immediately began throwing punches in different combinations. Andrade at first was able to block a fair amount of them but I was keeping so heavy on the offense that when he tried to sidestep I landed an uppercut and that's the only opening I needed. I began to deliver quick and powerful punches to his chest and he took each and everyone of them. This went on for a good three minutes before I stopped once I had knocked him to the ground, I honestly felt so much better after I got that anger out.
"Damn mami, you really know how to pack a punch." Andrade said and I looked at him and his chest was slightly red and bruised.
"I would say I'm sorry but I did warn you." I said innocently smiling but offered him my hand and helped him up.
"Don't worry about it at least you're smiling now." He said with a warm smile.
"What can I say, I like seeing you in pain." I teased and he laughed.
"I'll keep that in mind. I have to head out hermosa. You going to be alright?" Andrade asked.
"Yeah I'll be fine, thanks for being my human punching bag." I said innocently and he chuckled as he picked up his bag.
"Anytime Violet." He said then walked out of the performance center doors. I decided to get some cardio in and ran for an hour on the treadmill before drinking some water then grabbing my bag. I walked out of the performance center and grabbed my phone out of my bag then tossed the bag in the back.
Now that I had a clear mind, I knew me and Roman needed to have a serious talk. If we were going to work out, we need guidelines. We needed better communications and most importantly we needed trust. If we couldn't have these things then our days were numbered.
"We need to talk Roman, I'll call you when I get to the house." I texted him then took a deep breath and set my phone in the cup holder and headed home.
