People say going off to college is one of the worst feelings in the world. Moving away from your home, your family and friends. But this is different, because most of my friends are attending the same college as I am. Aside from Sam, TJ, and Josh. Those three got jobs with some part of the Police station specializing in special assignment, which i wasn't all so thrilled about. I guess after they got news that we were the ones who finally ended that gang stuff going on, they figured they could use us on the team. Of course Sam said no to us girls going on the team, it's to dangerous for us and everything. We just got our lives back on track as of a month ago, TJ and Molly moved in together, which is great for Molly because she needed to be happy. She still gets upset when we talk about Layla, which I don't blame her, i would be too. Oh, Josh and Talia have moved in together as well! The two you never seen or thought about dating ended up being the cutest couple of all us. Cole is dating Lisa still, but they have been having a few fights here and there.
"What is going through that pretty little mind of yours?" Sam said wrapping his arms around me as I stand in my empty room. I smile and look up at him.
"Just reliving the past few months," I say making him frown.
"You aren't thinking about the past.... Think about the future, you and the girls are going to college," he says making me smile a little and turn toward him.
"Yeah but my boyfriend won't be there with me," I say with a fake frown face making him smirk.
"Yeah but just think, when you do get to see me, it will be even better because you miss me so much," He jokes making me hit him playfully. He grabs my last bag for me and we walk downstairs.
"Oh my baby is all grown up," my mother says hugging me as we reach the bottom step. Sam laughs and bring my bag to my truck. My dad walks up and shakes his head at my mother.
"She has been a wreck all night long until now," He says making me laughing a little, this makes my mom smack my arm.
"Don't laugh at your poor mother. Both my babies are moved out now. Now I am stuck here with this guy," She says hitting my dad in the chest. He acts hurt.
"She'll only be twenty minutes away. Not like she is moving states," Cole says walking up with a smile on his face.
"You hush," My mother says wiping her tears.
"Mom seriously don't break out the tears. You will be fine, im a call away," I say making her nod.
"I know, I know," She says as i hug her one last time. I hug my dad and he kisses my head.
"Don't forget to call and check in," He says still not convinced this whole war thing was over. He has been having us all check in at least three times a day to make sure.
"I know dad," I say taking Sam's hand. Well, actually we didn't tell my parents but Sam got a house that was ten minutes from my college, so I was staying with him. He smiled as we pulled away from my house.
"They have no idea," Sam says making me smile as well. Just as we are half way to the house, my phone goes off signaling i have a text. 'Make sure Sam locks the doors at night....Think you could sneek that one past your old man, you're crazy!' it said from my dad. I drop my mouth in shock and so does Sam.
"How does he do that?" He asked amazed as we pull into the driveway.
"He has many years on us," I say laughing as we get out and bring my bags in. I smile at the house, it was big and lots of room. I loved it, it was a good house, kinda reminding me of the one i grew up in.
"How do you afford this?" I asked as we unpack in my room. Sam smiles and shrugs.
"The new job pays good," He says making me smile. It took hours to unpack all our stuff but we finally finished as the door bell went off. I smirked at Sam and he had the same idea as we both raced downstairs and toward the door.
"I'm gonna win!" Sam says laughing as we approach the front door. I shake my head and slide across the wood floor and come crashing into the door as it opens thanks to Sam getting there first. Tj looks at us like we are crazy and laughs.
"Let me guess, Sam won?" he says with a smirk.
"Always," Sam says helping me off the floor. I cross my arms and glare at him trying not to smile.
"You cheated," I say making both Sam and TJ laugh. We walk into the kitchen and all sit at the bar. Well, i sit on the counter because im weird like that.
"So, the college life starts tomorrow... You excited?" TJ asked me as he plays on his phone.
"I guess, i mean we missed most of the last year of high school, so this is gonna be new to me. Molly and Talia seem excited about it," I say making TJ laugh.
"Molly has been sitting at home for two hours trying to pick something to wear tomorrow.... It's crazy," TJ says making me laugh.
"Hey you have to look good on the first day," I say making Sam look at me.
"Why? You're taken dont give those college boys any ideas," Sam says getting defensive which i liked. I smirked and decided to keep playing it out.
"But i wanted to wear that cute white lace dress tomorrow... You know the one that goes above my knees and is cut kinda low," I tease making Sam glare at me. He knew i was messing with him, and he hated it.
"Very funny," Sam says as the other walk in for our dinner we planned tonight. This is the life I have been waiting for all my life. I was content with this.
