"Drink this. It's your ticket in." Marcus says, lureing another teen in. "All your worries will be gone." He smiles and hands over the bottle. The teen takes a sip but more is forced down by Marcus's hand. I stand in the back, just watching. Waiting until the kid is inside to lure them out.

Marcus takes the bottle back and the kid gasps, thinking he can spit out what he already swallowed. Marcus laughers and pushes him through the door. I turn around to go in the back entrance. Marcus doesn't care where I go, he thinks I'm helping him. He's an idiot, so much further gone than I am. Always drunk. I have never taken a drink of whatever it is he gives to the kids, I've never gotten drunk or even had alcohol.

I enter through the back door, the loud music pounding. People yelling, dancing, some even fighting. I notice the kid that just entered and watch to see what he does. He looks confused, drowsy, scared. He looks around and finds a corner with no one in it. He goes there and sits on the floor, even though there is a couch right next to him. WICKED troops arrive tomorrow, Friday, to collect the kids. I need to sober up as many kids as I can before they come in. Drinks are being passed around and everyone is drinking as much as they can.

I notice a younger girl, maybe around 12, refusing the drink. She is wearing short sleeves and I don't see any black veins yet, she had to be immune. I walk over to her, trying my best not to bump into other kids. I take her hand and lead her to the back door. She doesn't fight me, she has given up. I open the door, push her out and then follow.

"What's your name?" I ask, leaning down to meet her eyes.

"LeAnn." She says not meeting my eyes but looking at my hands. I know they are filled with veins but I don't have any gloves to cover them up. "Are you a crank?" She asks, her eyes snaking up my arms to my neck and finally to my eyes which are bloodshot and bright blue, almost a fading bright blue.

"Yes." I state plainly, she already knows so there is no use hiding it. "I'm gonna save you though." Her eyes widen and she backs up, ready to turn around and sprint off. I grab her wrist tightly and pull her back. She struggles against me and calls for help. "No one is going to help you LeAnn, no one care." I say pulling her into a hug, hoping to calm her. A tear drips onto my shoulder and I realize she is crying. "Listen closely LeAnn." I say pulling her back to look me in the eyes, "See that shed over there?" I ask, pointing to where I have been sleeping, "I need you to sit in there quietly until I come and get your, okay? Tomorrow, a group called WICKED is coming to collect immune kids like you. They are going to take you and test you, to find a cure. Trust me, you don't want to be taken by them, they have been at this for so many years and haven't found anything. I have watched many people die because of their testing." She is now gripping my hands in fear, her eyes betraying her emotions. "There is a group called the Right Arm that will be here Saturday to take you in. They are safe, they are finding a way to take down WICKED." I stop and stare at her, hoping she at least nods in understanding.

"How do I know I can trust you?" I sigh. She is one smart girl. Most don't question, just run over to the shed and stay quiet.

"You don't know that but please, listen to me and go to that shed. I will be there tonight. Don't make a sound." She nods and I put a pocket knife into her hands, "Just in case, okay?" She nods and runs to the shed. Opening it quickly and running in. I watch her leave before standing up and heading back inside to find any other sober kids. She was the first one I was able to get in there this week. The others I helped weren't immune so I had to send them in the opposite direction. Hopefully I can find more before tomorrow. I really want to save as many kids as I can.
