LUX BONTERI:

Lux walked back into Ahsoka's room after she was done talking with the Jedi on Coruscant.

"So, how did the meeting go," asked Lux.

"I'm going to stay on Onderon for another week," said Ahsoka, "Last time I had a vision like that, I was able to save Senator Amidala. I think I can save you too."

"Well, you got straight to the point, didn't you," chimed Lux.

Ahsoka smiled back. "Well, I'll get to spend more time with you."

Lux felt himself blushing a little. He would get to spend more time with Ahsoka.

"Well, good. I enjoy your company. I can show you around Onderon a bit too."

"I would love that," Ahsoka said.

"Well, I look forward to spending this week with you."

"Oh, and Lux?"

"Yeah?"

"Please stay safe. I would never forgive myself if you died too."

Lux gave a nod of approval.

"I'll stay out of trouble," he said.

He walked out of the room. He couldn't wait to spend more time with Ahsoka. Then again, her behavior was a little... different than what he usually expected from a Jedi. Ahsoka was letting her feelings out perhaps a bit more than a Jedi should, and didn't seem to mind it when he fell asleep on her. Could she...

No, he thought, She's a Jedi. She doesn't have feelings for me. We're just good friends, that's all. And so he once again tried to shove his feelings back into the furthest reaches of his mind. But his thoughts still buzzed about her.

You can't keep lying to yourself forever, Lux, He thought again, You have feelings for her, would it hurt to admit it?

"She's a Jedi," he whispered to himself, thinking out loud. "I don't want to ruin her future."

You won't.

Lux shook his head, trying to shake off any thoughts and feelings about the young padawan.

AHSOKA TANO

Ahsoka sat in her room meditating. A member of the royal militia walked in, carrying a plate of delicious-looking food.

"Your breakfast, Lady Tano," said the guard.

"You can put it on the table right there," she said.

The guard put the food on the table and walked out. Ahsoka walked over to eat the food.

Delicious, she thought, Onderon has some of the best food I've ever had.

As she ate the food, her thoughts wandered off to the boy she was protecting, Lux.

He's so kind and handsome, she thought, but... no, what am I thinking? Purpose comes before feelings, I can't, I can't...

She shook her head, shaking off her feelings. Attachment was forbidden, yet the more time she spent with Lux the more she was drawn to him, and the more she felt like she was lying to herself and others about her feelings. She wanted to leave to avoid growing any closer, but she couldn't. She had to stay. She couldn't just leave when Lux was in danger.

Ugh, thought Ahsoka, What am I going to do?
