Chapter 23: Grave Danger

AHSOKA TANO

"Have you made the right choice?"

Ahsoka once again stood in a foggy landscape, surrounded by voices that sounded like her own. This time, they didn't seem to be coming from anywhere.

"Are you certain that you have chosen the right path?"

The vision of the future Jedi Ahsoka materialized in front of her.

"You have broken the Jedi way! Is this truly what you want?" The vision said. This time, Ahsoka had a sense of the direction the voice was coming from, and quite obviously, it was coming from the vision.

"Y-yes. I love him. He... he just makes everything feel so... I..."

"You cannot deny your destiny as a Jedi. Leave him, before you fall down a dark path!"

"No!"

The other vision of the future Ahsoka materialized. Ahsoka was once again presented with two conflicting paths.

"If you have feelings for him, you must not hide them! Embrace your feelings for him! You love him! There is no reason why you can't and shouldn't be with him!"

"I... I don't know what to do..." Ahsoka said, "I don't know if this is a choice I have the strength to make..."

"You will make this choice when the time comes," both visions said at once, "but soon, you will be pushed to your limits. You will decide your fate, which path you take. These are pivotal times in your fate."

And with that, the visions vanished.

Ahsoka opened her eyes to the sight of her room on Onderon.

All these visions, Ahsoka thought, What do they all mean? What do I do!?!

A few minutes later, Lux walked in the room. 

"Good morning, 'Soka," Lux said, with a big smile on his face.

"Lux!"

Ahsoka quickly pulled Lux down onto her bed and pulled him into a kiss. He gladly accepted it.

"Hey," Lux said between kisses, "Don't do this all the time, people might find out!"

"There isn't anyone in here right now," replied Ahsoka, "we can kiss all we want!"

"Well okay, but if someone forgets to knock, we are screwed."

"Just kiss me!" She said as she pulled Lux in for another kiss.

And so Ahsoka pulled him back in. Being in a relationship was something she had to get used to, but it made her feel so amazing to kiss him, and she just couldn't get over the feeling of when her lips touched his. It was addicting. And with Lux at her side, she always felt at peace, as if everything would be just fine.

COUNT DOOKU

The count sat in his palace on Serenno. He had not heard word from Bane in over half a rotation, and his commlink wasn't responding. He was beginning to worry Bane had failed his mission.

His leading general, General Grievous, suddenly made an entrance.

"General," said the count, "you were not invited, nor did I receive word you were coming. What has brought you here?"

"Sir, I have received word that Cad Bane has been captured."

"He is likely correct," said a tactical droid standing next to Dooku. "Given the circumstances, the chance that Bane has failed his operation are 84%."

"This is a most troubling development," Dooku said, "I was certain that Bane would have been able to defeat Ahsoka Tano."

"So, what are we going to do about this?" Grievous asked.

"Bane will make his way out of prison, as he always does. But as for Padawan Tano..."

"Yes, my lord?"

"Prepare my ship. I shall head to Onderon tomorrow morning."
