Last

As my last teardrop fell,
My eyes started to clutter,
Along with the last heartbeat,
Is the final breath I take.

Memories of mine floods,
Here in the dreary and cold space,
A light that seems to gleam,
And a voice saying, "come with me."

He extended his hand towards me,
As if expecting me to reach for it,
I held his hand and look,
Asking, "who are you?"

Smiling, hugging me tightly
A hug that I truly needed,
Burning warmth in my heart
And my tears fall once again.
