Izabella: Have you ever just looked at the stars?
Grayson: Not really
Izabella: You should, there are so many wonderful stories about them.
Grayson: Would you tell me one?
Izabella: Do you see that cluster of stars right there?
I pointed out the window
Grayson: Yeah, the bid dipper
Izabella: Ursa Major also known as the large bear
Grayson: What's the story behind it?
Izabella: The legend says those stars were once a beautiful woman named Callisto. She had an affair with Zeus and they ended up having a baby boy ,Arcas. To protect them from Hera's wrath of jealousy Zeus turned Callisto and Arcas into bears. He picked them up by there stubby tails and threw them into the sky. This caused their tails to stretch out making them look the way they do.
Grayson: I've always thought they were just spoons
Izabella: So did I, but I got a different perspective and had to know what they was supposed to be. It's just weird that every star has a story.
Grayson: I heard people buy them
Izabella: They do, I thought about buying one. It would be like I had a guardian watching over me.
Grayson: Know anything about the moon?
Izabella: A little.
Grayson: Tell me?
Izabella: The sun and the moon are star-crossed lovers. They were believed to be gods, The sun in charge of the lighting the day and the moon in charge of lighting the night. With stars as their friends they eventually found out that they had feelings for each other. Their love grew so much they started to neglect their duties the sun would go see the moon at night making it as bright as day. The moon would go see the sun during the day making it as dark as night. Zeus intervened forbidding them from seeing each other. Over the years there are times that they share a forbidden kiss.
Grayson: Is that what the eclipse is?
Izabella: Yeah.
Grayson: My dad would tell me when he was away, to look at the moon. Because wherever he was I'd know he was looking at the same thing I was.
Izabella: I bet he's still looking at it, every night.
Grayson: I stopped after he passed, it just hurt too much.
Izabella: I know, he knows but just incase you decide you want to talk to the moon. He's watching out for you.
Grayson: Talk to the moon?
Izabella: Like I talk to the stars, just helps when you don't know what to do.
I closed my eyes and listened to the sound of his voice. The last thing I heard before I went to sleep gave me a sense of safety.
Grayson: I love you Bella.
He picked me up and put me in bed. He held me for the rest of the night and when I woke he was just sitting on the edge of the bed.
Izabella: Baby come back to bed.
Grayson: As much as I want to I can't .
Izabella: Gray what's wrong?
Grayson: Nothing, I just gotta go
Izabella: Gray, I know when something's wrong.
Grayson: I just lost something.
