[SYNOPSIS]

Rosemary Mellark was sixteen years old when she was Reaped for the 70th Hunger Games. For the first time in District 12's history, siblings were Reaped for the same Games when her older brother's name was picked out of all the others. The Mellark family was guaranteed to lose a member, which was why Rosemary promised to herself that Rye was going to be the one who went home as the Victor.

Somehow Rosemary survived the 70th Hunger Games but the Games never really end, do they? Rosemary is thrust into the world of a Victor, which meant monthly trips to the Capitol, a new talent, and people watching her every move.

When her younger brother is Reaped for the 74th Hunger Games, everything changes. Fire was catching and the mockingjay had emerged. However, in this story, the mockingjay is not a person, but an idea.
