EXT. RACE TRACK — EVENING

Dionysus runs to the bleachers where the audiences are. Ariadne and her friends have the front seat and are already standing up to take their leave.

DIONYSUS
Aalis na kayo?

Nahihiyang tumingin si Ariadne kay Dionysus. Her friends giggle as they watch the exchange.

ARIADNE
Oh, hey.... congratulations!

DIONYSUS
Ano'ng inabutan mo?

ARIADNE
You finishing the track.

DIONYSUS
That's how late you are...

Ariadne heaves a sigh. Dionysus waits for her reply.

ARIADNE
Sorry na nga. I know I promised and I made it naman. Hindi ko nga lang napanuod ng buo. And lots of girls were cheering for you, I'm sure I'm not a loss.

DIONYSUS
I asked for you, not them.

ARIADNE
Alam ko naman crush mo 'ko.

Her friends laugh at her confidence and Dionysus shakes his head but he doesn't deny it.

DIONYSUS
Ba't ka ba late?

ARIADNE
Hindi ako hinatid ni Theo.

DIONYSUS
Ah, 'yong type mo na mukhang butiki?

ARIADNE
Hey!

Her friends laugh harder in agreement. Ariadne rolls her eyes at them.

VIOLET
Well, he's saying the truth.

DIONYSUS
See, even your friends agree.

ARIADNE
Haters!

DIONYSUS
Anyway, may gagawin ba kayo? Gusto niyo sumamang mag-dinner and uminom?

ARIADNE
Mayro'n.

LAUREN & MILLIE
Wala.

Ariadne shakes her head at her friends, as a signal to say no. But her friends remain stubborn.

VIOLET
We'll go. Sasama 'yang si Aria.

Dionysus smiles in his win. Ariadne frowns in her defeat. She pouts and nods in agreement, halatang napilitan. Lalapit si Dionysus para bumulong sa kanya.

DIONYSUS
Ba't mukha kang nalugi? Ako, hindi kita pababayaan. Ako gagawa ng thesis mo. Ihahatid kita. Hindi kita iiwan basta-basta.

ARIADNE
HALA SIYA!

Dionysus laughs at her reaction. He pokes her forehead and she frowns.

ARIADNE
What was that for?

DIONYSUS
Reminding you that you deserve better.
Stop selling your self short.
