XLVIII.

EXT. CONCERT GROUNDS — EVENING

Ariadne with Violet, Millie and Lauren are in front of a large crowd. They're wearing the free sleeveless white shirt for the event, as they were able to score an upgrade of VIP tickets through Ariadne's connections.

Their gadgets are inside their respective waterproof pouches, while their change of clothes are inside Violet's car. They got it all covered, they're just waiting for Dionysus and his friends so they can join the fun.

HOST
We are making it rain tonight, Manila!

CROWD
YES! WOOOO!

Ariadne and her friends excitedly shout with the crowd as one of the front runner bands went out the stage, habang nagpapaulan ng tubig. Kanina pa sila basa pero parang may sarili silang mundo dahil sa sobrang tuwa nila.

They used to go out for raves like this one all the time when they were in their freshmen and sophomore year in college, but junior year and senior year kept them busy so they never had the time anymore—until now.

BAND
Sa lahat ng nagmamahal, para sa inyo itong kanta na susunod. Sabayan niyo kami!

The band started to play the intro of one of their iconic song. It's an old one, but definitely a part of almost everyone's high school puppy love playlist.

BAND
'Di ko maintindihan ang nilalaman ng puso... tuwing magkahawak ang ating kamay

BAND
Pinapanalangin lagi tayong magkasama, hinihiling bawat oras... ka-siping ka...

The crowd laughed and cheered when the band changed the lyrics of their song to something sexual.

VIOLET
SIPING DAW! PARA KAY ARIADNE 'YAN!

ARIADNE
GAGI! HAHAHA BAKIT AKO AGAD!?

MILLIE
Hanggang mamaya ka basa, mami? 'Pag dating ni Dion?

LAUREN
HAHAHA I LOVE IT!

Magtatawanan silang apat. Ariadne knows that her friends are only teasing her but she couldn't deny it. Something is bound to happen tonight and she knows it. She's just not sure if she's ready to take her relationship with Dionysus on to the next level.

Ariadne tries to push her thoughts aside and jumped with her friends as they sang their heart's out. Sa sobrang hyper nilang apat, naitulak si Ariadne at napasandal sa isa sa mga taong kasama nila sa VIP crowd.

ARIADNE
I'm sorry—Theo?

THESEUS
Oh, hey Aria. Sabi ko na familiar, eh. Ang layo ko kasi sa inyo kanina pero namukhaan kita. Hindi lang ako sigurado.

Violet, Millie and Lauren start to nudge one another as they observe Ariadne and Theseus in front of them. It's easier because it is not that crowded in their section compared to the regular one.

ARIADNE
Ah...

THESEUS
I had no idea that you would be here.

Violet murmurs, low enough only for the four of them to hear and out of Theseus' ear shot.

VIOLET
Lagi ka namang walang ideya 'pag kay Aria.

THESEUS
Sorry, Vi. May sinasabi ka ba?

VIOLET
Sabi ko, bakit ka nandito?

THESEUS
Nag-aya lang 'yong barkada ko. Hindi naman busy so sumama na ako. Kayo?

LAUREN
Hindi rin kami busy.

VIOLET
Paano magiging busy eh halos tapusin na ni Aria thesis mo?

Ariadne and Millie sushed Violet. Lauren bit her lower lip to stop herself from reacting because Theseus is already staring at them.

THESEUS
May I borrow Aria? Sandali lang.

ARIADNE
Uhm, Theo... pwede naman yata sa ibang araw pag-usapan? Is it important?

THESEUS
Sandali lang, please.

Violet, Lauren and Millie all shake their head. Ariadne looks confused before finally giving in.

ARIADNE
Fine. Sandali lang, okay?

Theseus nods then finally pulls her away from her friends and the crowd.
