(The last time I posted was the day before George Floyd's murder. It has been hard to do anything without thinking about an innocent man losing his life. This wasn't the first time IT happened and we the people are finally speaking out. I just wanted you to know not only this is clearly serious, but I know it's hard to think about, but we have to talk about it. These chapters were hard to write because my mind is else where. I understand that sometimes we need an outlet to smile for at least one second of the day. These are the only ones I could make up with what's been going on. Stay safe out there. BLACK LIVES MATTER.)
Tim's POV:
"Wait, you mean it?"
Gibbs just told me amazing news if it's true. It has to be true because he would never joke around about something like this. This is my real life he's talking about.
"Yes. It's happening tomorrow." He's moving around his house getting a few things together for this. I mean I think that's what he's doing. I'm giving him as much space as I can with asking him questions.
"You mean there's a plan in motion?"
"There will be today. Adam and Sean have the easiest job. We will take care of the rest." He's heading towards the door and I still can't believe what he's saying.
He turns to me and smiles for the first time since we've been locked in his house together. "Just think Tim, you can Melissa can be back together in no time." He walks out the door and leaves me with his words and hope.
Tomorrow.
This is going down tomorrow.
They're going against Juice tomorrow.
They've probably been practicing since they've been gone, but so have Ziva and Tony.
Just think, I could have her in my arms by this time tomorrow. I can finally kiss her again. It will be us against the world like it once was and it will be better than ever.
I run down to my room that I've only been in for almost four months. I start packing things that Gibbs didn't lend to me. I'm going to be prepared for when Gibbs gives me the signal that I can see her again. I'll run out of here and straight to her wherever she is.
Wow.
I haven't been outside. I haven't driven a car. I hope I remember how. Gibbs is going to have to be here when I get the news because I don't have my car. I hope she didn't sell mine or anything. I hope Tony would have told me if she ever did.
I make the bed, which is something I've tried to do every day since I've been here and take the note that I've carried ever since she gave it to me.
Promise.
I promise baby, I'm coming back to you.
