"He wants us to meet" I said during break time to my 2 best friends. Nathan gasped and Charmaine rolled her eyes.

"If you go there, bitch I will disown you"

"You need to go there and hear his side of the story hun," Nathan also commented. He was right. Charmaine surrendered and rolled her eyes.

"It's what boys do, they just feed you lies, lies and more lies" she said complaining with her hands in the air.

"What lies?" Peter asked as he came down and sat next to me on the freshly mowed ground.

"We're talking about this Tyler Perry movie, The Acrimony" Nathan said as he covered for all our asses.

"Oh, we'll have to watch it today. It's movie night, remember?" He said grinning like a boy on Christmas day.

"Oh yeah babe. I can't wait" I said with less enthusiasm. Charmaine and Nathan seemed to have gotten the clue as they chuckled at my misery and pinched each other.

"We have to go and see your mother after school" Nathan said after a long silence.

"She woke up yesterday, Dad didn't want me to skip school he said Mr Steyn will take me straight to the hospital"

"I'll come with you then,"

"Me too,"

"Me three,"

"Thanks guys, I really do appreciate it but I have some questions I need to ask her and maybe you can tag along tomorrow"

Dad has been staying with us ever since the situation 2 days ago. I pray he's around more often.

The bell rang and it was now time for us to head towards our Dance period. Peter gave me a kiss on my forehead and walked with us to class.

"I'll see you after school. Movie night?"

"Sure babe" I said as I entered the huge hall sighing.

My two friends laughed at me as soon as Peter was out of sight.

"Why don't you just break up with him" Nathan said in between his laughing fit.

"Ha ha, very funny guys. He did nothing wrong I can't just call it off"

We gathered around the hall and Charmaine blushed as soon as Andile came and stood next to her. That was our que to leave.

After a whole period of doing the waltz, Nathan and I got an 80% , our routine was great but we just weren't intimate enough. Which I understand really.

The bell rang and we exited the hall. Mr Steyn was already waiting for me outside but James was not in the car.

"Ada, how are you?"

"I'm great sir, long day 's all" I said as he drove off to the hospital. A few minutes later we arrived and saw my dad waiting for me at the reception.

"She's in the casualty ward, B3 alone" he said as he went on and sat at the bench.

I saw my mother before she saw me. She was sitting up eating her favourite, strawberry yoghurt.

"Mommy" I said walking towards her and giving her a hug. She smiled into it and placed the yoghurt on the small cabinet next to her bed.

"Hun, I'm okay. It's just that my blood pressure increased that night. How was school?" She asked.
