Maximus' POINT OF VIEW

The next morning, I woke up at around 5 am.

And the thing that makes me awake is my phone that constantly ringing. I frowned when I saw my mom's name on the screen.

What does my mom want this time?

Lazily, I get up from my bed and answered her call.

[Good morning, Son. I'm so sorry to disturb you---]

"You already did Mom. So what is it?" I cut her off that makes her chuckle.

[I heard you will be attending a reunion party from your batch in DISA. And I already prepared your suit, so pick it up here later. And of course, I called someone to be your date. Fanstastic, right?]

Napailing na lang ako sa sunod sunod na sinabi ni Mommy. And seriously? She prepared the suit for me as if I am a fourteen year old boy.

"Mom, I don't need a date." I hissed.

I heard her sighed on the other line, [But I already told her that she will be you--]

"I already have a girlfriend Mom" I stated out of nowhere.

Nawalan ng imik ang nasa kabilang linya.

"Mom? You're still there?" I asked plainly.

I was about to say something when she seriously said. [Introduce her to us.]

Napailing na lang ako ng babaan niya ako ng tawag. I sighed heavily when I remembered what I have just said seconds earlier.

Saang lupalop naman ng mundo ako hahanap ng babae na ipapakilala kong girlfriend ko? Me and my impulsive decisions.

From a nowhere, Renze's smiling face went to my vision. Napailing na lang ako bago tinext ang pinsan kong si Trisha.

While waiting for her response, nagdiresto ako sa bathroom para maligo pero napatigil din ako ng makita ko ang sarili ko sa salamin. I shake my head and ignore what I just saw. Nagtuloy ako sa pag aayos ng sarili ko.

45 minutes of preparing myself for my work is enough. While I am taking my last glance on the mirror, my phone beeped. Sa pagaakalang si Trisha iyon ay mabilis ko iyong binuksan.

Hindi na ako nagreply.

Kanina si Mommy, ngayon naman si Daddy? Bakit ba hindi na lang sila mag out of town trip kaysa ako ang ginugulo nila. I have a life to enjoy with. Instead of sulking, I just went out of my condo unit and drove my car way to EGC. I have a client at 10 am that I shouldn't miss.

I parked my car on the basement of the company. Hindi na ako nagulat ng may lumapit sa akin na mga tauhan ni Daddy. I just walked inside the company with emotionless face.

"Good morning Sir"

"Good morning po"

"Hi Sir"

"Good morning po Sir Maximus"

Iyan halos ang bati sa akin ng mga empleyadong nakakasalubong ko sa path way. Wala ako sa mood bumati pabalik sa kanilang lahat kaya nanatiling tikom ang bibig ko.

Pagdating ko sa top floor where the presidential office is located, Shane opened the door for me.

"Good morning Sir. The president is waiting for you." Magalang na aniya.
