Chapter 23 - Day 53

I wiped off a bead of sweat on my forehead as I lifted the water bottles in my arms. They were quite heavy.

Today was the same as usual for me, go to the boy's volleyball club and be their manager. It's been quite fun and, although it can be tiring at times, I didn't regret joining the club.

Those girls who confronted me last week kept bothering me. My desk was dirty every morning since then. I try not to get it to me but it's annoying to keep cleaning the table.

Other than that, they would usually glare at me and whisper behind my back. I think Suga-chan knows because she too gave them a glare in return so I have to tell her one day. Akagi-senpai has been really supportive and a good person to rely on. Just like a very good friend, just really affectionate.

The other guys- Atsumu-san, Osamu, Rintarou-kun, and Kita-senpai have been rely nice. Too nice. Its kinda creepy.

Imagine them being possessed.

I shuddered at the thought.

I went inside the gym. They were practicing as usual. Nothing too crazy aside from the constant bickering Atsumu-san and Osamu-san but I got used to that.

I even managed to experience their brawl once. It was a good experience.

Because I fainted and didn't see a thing.

"(L/N)-san." I hear coach Norimune called to the team.

I jogged to his direction and attentively straightened myself.

"Interhigh is nearing, (L/N)-san. This will be your first time attending a volleyball tournament, correct?" coach asked as he looked at me.

"Hai." I replied with a shakey voice. My heart sped up as he mentioned it. The one event I've been really looking forward to.

It's about time I have some actual experience what official matches look up close.

He grinned, "I believe you are responsible enought to take care of these hooligans by then. They get really intense and go brain dead at the same time."

I tilted my head to the side in confusion, "Brain... Dead..?" I muttered.

What does he mean by that?

"You'll know when you know. All I want you to do is not get them to that state." He smiled.

"H-Hai? But is there a specific way to do it or..?" I hesistatedly ask. These are so vague! How am I supposed to do this?

"Just give some of them attention." He waved as he did a pouty face.

I sweatdropped.

We were done practicing as usual. The team said they were buying something to eat in their usual convenience store. I tagged along because it seems like fun.

I walked alongside Suna-san. I bounced from time to time and I had a stupid grin on my face.

"You look excited." Suna-san pointed out, "The convenience store is just ordinary though..."

I chuckled, "Well, I like hanging out with you guys. Going straight home is boring." I smiled at him.

He chuckled as he patted my head, "I can take you somewhere nicer though." He said.

I blushed as he pulled my head on his chest. It was warm and nice. He smells nice too.

"Uwaaaah! Suna-kun making a move on (L/N)-san!" Akagi-senpai yelled as he pulled me away from the middle blocker.
