Chapter 27 - Day 62

"N-Nani-" Akagi stuttered as he looked at their manager with wide eyes.

She smiled at him brightly as she skipped towards him, leaving Kita alone and frozen. She stood in front of him, hands behind her back.

"Akagi-senpai! Can you go with me on a double date?" She said, making the libero blush.

He scratched the back of his neck, not really sure what to do or say to the young lass. He heard feral growling on one side of the room. He glanced at the source to see Atsumu, Osamu, and Suna combined their heads like a cerberus.

He shivered as he looked back at (Y/N) who was patiently waiting for his reply.

"Eto... I don't know..." He hesitated, making her frown.

She whined, "Please? I'll buy you cake and I don't know who else to ask." She begged.

Akagi felt the immense pressure put on his shoulders. The half of his teammates were cheering on for him and the other half just comforted the broken captain.

"(L/N)-senpai! I can be your date if you want to!" Riseki, a first year, yelled as he beamed at the girl.

She made an 'o' sound as she bounced to him. She was pulled back by her collar.

"Absolutely not!" Omimi replied to the first year. Riseki just laughed at him as he held (Y/N) collar.

She pouted, feeling small compared to the 6'3 middle blocker. Omimi glared at the first year as he let go of her collar.

"I can't trust you ever since you hit on that one girl that was actually a guy." He narrowed his eyes.

Osamu bursted out laughing, pointing at the first year as he held his stomach. Suna just snickered as he held in his laugh, his shoulders visibly shaking. Atsumu and Kosaku dropped their jaws at the information.

Aran put a hand on his eyebrows in embarrassment as he remembered the accident. Gin just kept shaking the frozen Kita as he tried not to laugh.

Riseki choked on his spit as he felt shame rising on his cheeks, "HE HAD LONG HAIR AND A SLIM FACE FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE! HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW?!" He sulked as he went to a corner to grow mushrooms.

Omimi sighed, shaking his head as he scrunched his nose in disgust.

"Getting off topic here," (Y/N) raised her hands, "Akagi-senpai, what do you say?"

Akagi looked anywhere besides the girl. He felt a blush growing and a guilt on the side because he was genuinely rooting for Kita to take her.

"Akagi-san~" Atsumu sang as he wrapped an arm on the libero's neck. Akagi was much shorter than him so it was pretty easy.

Akagi felt an immense aura coming from the blonde as he tried to shake off his arm.

"What do you say, Akagi-san~?" He said his name with malice as he playfully poked his cheek.

Akagi had enough of the antics as he dramatically escaped the blonde. He yelled, "Alright, alright! (L/N)-san, you better take care of me!"

He bowed deeply in front of the happy manager.

She clapped her hands as she happily cheered, "Banzai!"

Kita looked horrified at his friend.
