"Huh, looks like we're going to be neighbors." Stevie said, seeing Lindsey opening the hotel room door right next to hers.
"Try and keep the music down." Lindsey replied, a smile tugging at his lips.
"Alright, old man." She teased, walking right into his open arms. "Hey."
"Hey." Lindsey echoed, giving her a friendly squeeze and a kiss on the cheek. "You look great." He said, holding Stevie at arm's length.
"Not so bad yourself. That V-neck is getting lower and lower with every tour though."
"Ever considered shopping for something else besides this top and leggings?"
Karen stood behind the two, holding her breath and slightly annoyed. Eyeing each other for a second, Stevie and Lindsey started laughing and hugged again.
"I'll see you tonight for drinks?" Stevie asked, moving towards her room.
"Of course." Lindsey nodded once and went inside as well.
Having been Stevie's assistant for so long, Karen had been there for various stages of their relationship. Her patience might be running a bit thin at their interactions, but she most definitely preferred them like that instead of the two fighting constantly. It was a lot easier for Karen to deal with Stevie, when she and Lindsey were on good terms.
"Okay, so, your stuff is here. There's nothing else for you to do today. I guess, I'll be heading to my room and relax, while I still have some time to do so." Karen said, looking at Stevie for confirmation.
"Yeah, Karen, thank you. I'll see you later." Stevie smiled at her assistant, before she went outside.
Before anything else, Stevie called Don and let him know that she had a safe flight and was currently in her hotel room. He had to ask about Lindsey, to which Stevie said, she saw him for a second. Quickly changing the subject, she asked about Don's rehearsals with Eagles, occupying his mind with it for a few minutes.
"I've got to go, honey." Stevie said. "I need to get ready to meet up with the guys."
"Alright if you must. Call me after the show tomorrow, let me know how it went."
"Will do. Love you."
"I love you." Don replied, wishing her a good time with her band.
Stevie wasn't really in a rush. She had dreamed about a bubble bath since getting off the plane. Taking off her clothes, she folded them neatly before heading into the bathroom. She let the water run, adjusting it to the right temperature. While the tub was filling up, Stevie looked for a hair tie in her cosmetics bag, gathering all her hair up on top of her head, so it didn't get wet. Shortly, she untied the sash of her robe and hung it on the bathroom door. Turning the water off, she submerged herself up to her chin and sighed in content. Unsure of how long she'd been enjoying her bath, Stevie realized the water had gotten colder than she liked it, which meant it was time to get out and get ready to meet up with Lindsey, Mick and John, possibly some other members of their touring band, everyone was welcome to join.
With her makeup done, Stevie opened her suitcase for a change of clothes. Without thinking, she picked out the same kind of top and a pair of leggings, then stopped. Lindsey probably didn't care, he made a joke just like she did. However, Stevie decided to wear something entirely different. With not much to choose from, she did have a form fitting skirt and a loose, black, chiffon blouse, which was what she decided to wear.
Fashionably late, Stevie was on her way to join the men, who were all waiting for her already. They'd agreed to meet in Mick's room. Unfortunately, she didn't have a mirror with her, so all she could do was run a hand through her hair and hoped she looked fine.
"Good evening, Ms. Nicks." Mick opened the door, a wide grin on his face.
"Good evening to you." Stevie smiled at him, giving Mick a hug, making him bend down for her. "Sorry I'm a little late."
"Yeah, well, we didn't expect you to come early." Mick smirked and Stevie gave him a look, walking over to greet John.
Meanwhile, Lindsey sat quietly, a drink in his hand. He noted the change in her appearance and he wondered if it had been caused by something he said. Nevertheless, she looked absolutely beautiful.
