Eight Dragons and the Power of Will

"Well.. this stinks.."

Natsu and Touma strolled through the white halls of the massive maze, peering at each and every door before them, not sure if they should go in to any of them..

About an hour before, Touma had opened one door to find Night Reveler, the Earthland version of Twilight Prankster, sitting on a couch in the corner next to a fireplace.. muttering something ridiculous about cheese.

Luckily, Night Reveler hadn't noticed Natsu and Touma, who both edged out of the room as quietly as they could.. so they spent the next hour walking through the maze of halls, debating whether or not they should go into any of the rooms.

"Mikoto's caught up in this place somewhere." said Touma. "We have to find her.."

"I can't smell her anywhere." said Natsu. "It's like the entire world's scent is just blocked out.. eventually, we're probably gonna have to look in one of these rooms.."

"I don't know.." said Touma. "What if we see Night Reveler again..?"

"We can't hold off forever.." said Natsu. "What if Mikoto's in one of these rooms!? And what if she's in trouble!?"

That set Touma off. He moved over to the nearest door and touched a hand to it... and the door glowed gold and dissapeared.. revealing darkness...

Touma gulped.. and walked into the room with Natsu.. for a moment.. the room was completely black.. then.. it lit up.. to reveal a vast field of grass.. about 20 miles wide, surrounded by distant trees... and then a voice spoke out..

"Mikoto Misaka has chosen still to reject my loving offers, even when I told her I would let you two live.." said the voice of Asgawrath. "And I must say.. I tire of how you two constantly avoid death... this time, I will make no mistakes."

"ASGAWRATH!!" Natsu roared. "It's you isn't it!? WHERE IS MIKOTO!? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH HER!!!"

"She's with me of course.. she's always with me as long as I hold her Lance form in my hand.." said Asgawrath's voice. "But now.. I think it's time Captain Yamamoto did what I asked him to.. and burn your bodies into ashes like the rest of Creation.."

Suddenly, there was a burst of flames.. and the entire field of grass ignited into a field of fire.. the forests themselves igniting with terrible skyscraper sized flames. surrounding Natsu and Touma in a heat so all consuming, that even Natsu's throat began to feel dry.

"Little brats.." said Yamamoto as his scars burned with tremendous heat.. and his sword, Ryujin Jakka engulfed in flames. "Today, it seems I finally destroy the ones who have caused the Multiverse so much grief."

"Natsu.." said Touma. "That's like.. the strongest Soul Reaper in Soul Society."

"Yep.." said Natsu. "Let's beat him up.."

"He'll tear us to bits.. you know that right?"

"And is that going to stop us?"

Touma grinned. "Good point.."

Yamamoto pointed his blade at Touma and Natsu, and the 20 mile field of flames grew hotter. "Prepare to turn to ashes.. become ever consumed to the flame!!"

Yamamoto slashed Ryujin Jakka to the side, and a massive tidal wave of flire converged from all sides towards Natsu and Touma.

The twosome got into a back to back stance as Touma held out his right hand and Natsu opened his mouth.. The flames exploded against Touma's right hand.. blasting around the hand as it was barely held back by Imagine Breaker.

Natsu, on the other end sucked the massive flames into his mouth, swallowing them with an impressive bloat in his stomach as he did.

However.. as the flames continued to grow more and more massive.. the flames suddenly exploded into Touma, forcing Touma's hand back.
