Chapter Seventeen

No one's POV.

The lonely goddess is having her own time at the garden, silently remembering the previous happenings at the highway, the battle between Ash and her sister, Roman Torchwick and the White Fang and knowing that all of the disturbances that occurred in Vale were all just a decoy to take their attentions away from the real threat.

Her distressed look fades when she saw a beautiful full bloomed white rose not to far from where she stands. She slowly walked towards the rose and picked it up with a gloomy smile.

"Another dauntless guardian has left the inner circle.". The goddess said in a mild tone.

While looking back to the rose, she saw her guardians walking towards her location. She unleashed a heavy sigh before placing the rose on the table and face them with a calm demeanor.

Ozpin, Glynda and James represented themselves in front of the goddess and they bowed together to greet her.

"It's quite surprising to see you alone at this kind of hour Ein? Where's Ms. Autumn?". Ozpin said as he placed his Cane in front of him.

"She left.". The goddess simply replied.

"What?". Glynda's eyes slightly widened once she heard the Goddess.

"What do you mean she left?". James rephrased what Glynda said along with a baffled look.

Y/n seems unfazed on their reactions and slowly sat on a chair near the glass table where the chess board lies and remains untouched.

"Earlier today, we've encountered the person that Autumn wants to capture alive in Vale and the rest is quite destructive and distressful to detailed with.". Y/n explained very carefully.

"Wait..don't tell me, that accident in the Highway..that was them?". Glynda asked.

"Yes.". Y/n answered.

"Why didn't you call us? I should lend you my men to apprehend that person without destroying the whole place.". James said as he sets his gaze to the unfazed Goddess.

"Autumn handed the situation very well without my help so there's no need for reinforcements, James.". Y/n said and smiles at him.

James let out a sigh of relief before lowering his stern general side a bit.

"Is that so? Well..that's good to hear. If Autumn defeated that person. Why did she leave all of the sudden?". He asked.

"Remember what I've said before about that person? I sensed her power and it is almost Par on Autumn's abilities. The good thing is, Autumn managed to take that person down before it could create another..mayhem in Vale. So, to make sure that person couldn't hurt any innocent lives anymore. Autumn needs to take her somewhere far away from here, from the innocents and from the sonorous darkness as well.". She said.

"I see. I hope Ms. Autumn is alright wherever she is right now.". Ozpin said.

"I hope so too.". The goddess replied before she cast her yellow and purple dragon eyes on them. "Regardless, may I know what are you three doing in here?".

Ozpin steps forward and said, "Well, we came here to tell you that the plans for the Vytal festival is finished. Although, without Ms. Autumn's presence now as your guardian. We may have to do some minor readjustments to it.".

"You don't have to Oz.". Y/n said and turn her gaze to James. "I would like Penny to be my temporary escort while the Vytal Festival is on. Will be that alright?".

James startles for a bit of seconds before he smiles and bows his head to the Goddess.

"Of course. I'll be acknowledging Penny on her new assignment right away.". James happily stated.
