Chapter Twenty

No one's POV.

After that incident in the CCT tower, James, Glynda and Ozpin were on the headmaster's office along with Y/n who's silently sitting on the headmaster's chair. The goddess is looking down to the clockwork desk with a serious and bothered expression.

"They were here...Ozpin, they were here!". James suddenly blurted out and angrily slams his fist against Ozpin's desk.

"We're very much aware of that. Thank you, James.". Glynda responded.

"Fantastic! You're aware! Now are going to do something about it or should we just stay in the course and continue to ignore what's right in front of us?!". James said and cast his gaze to Ozpin.

Before Ozpin could even say something through the General's words, an alert sound echoes on his desk, signifying that someone has arrived on the elevator. Y/n slowly stood up and walked to the other side of the room before she becomes invincible to their mortal eyes.

Once everything is settled, Ozpin took his turn to overtake the conversation.

"Come in.". Ozpin said and the elevator opens, revealing a nervous Rose steps into the room.

"Sorry it took so long. Someone accidentally hit all the buttons on the elevator on the way up here.". There was a pause before she quickly explaining herself. "It wasn't me.".

"Thank you for coming, Ruby. How are you feeling?".Ozpin asked.

"Okay, I guess. I'd be better if my bad-catching-record wasn't O-for-three.". She said and everybody stares at her silently. "Okay..,so that's the tone were going for, got it.

The general approaches to her side and holds her shoulder. "Ruby, I feel it's appropriate to let you know that I think what you did last night is exactly what being a huntress is all about. You recognized the threat, you took action to fight and protected Y/n. And you did the very best you could.".

"Thank you, sir.". Ruby said with a small smile.

While Ozpin and Glynda starts to interrogate Ruby, the little red noticed something odd in the room, there was a blurry thing on the other side of the office. Ozpin stops talking for a second and looked to the same direction with a small frown.

"Why are you looking at that direction, Ms. Rose?". He asked as he set his gaze to the baffled Rose.

"U-um..I thought I saw something. Please don't mind me.". Ruby said and scratches her back head nervously.

The headmaster went silent for a while before he spoke again"..Back to the topic, you said earlier that you think this girl you and Ms. Ironwood faced is connected to Torchwick and the White Fang. Well, it might be possible, but we still lack of the required evidence to link the two together.".

"Actually...I, I think I remember her saying about a hideout or something..in the southeast. Just outside the kingdom.". Ruby said with a smile.

"Interesting.". Ozpin said as he still keeping his gaze to the young Rose.

"I thought you said the intruder never--".

"Thank you for you cooperation, Ruby. Why don't you spend some time with your team? You have a big day ahead of you." Ozpin said as he intentionally cuts Glynda's sentence calmly.

"Anytime.". Ruby said and look to the location where she see that blurry thing but she saw nothing.

'I am imagining things again..'she whispers to herself and sigh before turning around and leave the premises.

"And Miss. Rose, please try and be discreet about this matter.". The headmaster said, making the young rose turns around to see their serious gazes towards her.
