Chapter Nine

Y/n's POV.

Sometimes..I really hate this vessel for being such an EARLY riser. I can't even take a long rest unlike those humans who could even take half of their day sleeping like dead rocks. Well, my real astral form doesn't need it but..I want to experience those kind of lazy actions too. I wish I could that too but with this diligent body?

It's totally impossible.

Seeing that I'm fully wide awake and energized, I slowly stood up, stretching a few stiffed muscles and start my repetitive human regimen. I was busy doing my uniform when I heard someone knocks to the door.

"Come in.". I said, knowing that my early visitor would be none other than my strict guardian.

The door creaks and sensed that it wasn't Glynda who's paying a visit, turning around to see who they were, my eyes slightly surprised to see Little Red and the Heiress in my sight.

"Goood MORNING Y/n!". Ruby greets me with her usual cheerful self.

"Good morning.". Weiss followed with a calm, nobly tone, opposite from Ruby's greeting.

I didn't expect them to visit me. No one has ever visited me in my room besides from my guardians. It feels...quite strange but nice in the same way.

Hmm..I wonder why?

"Good morning Ruby, and to you as well Weiss. What brings you two in my domain in such an early hour?". I said and let the two roam inside of my room.

"We were wondering if you don't have any plans for this afternoon, if you don't we were inviting you to come with us to Vale.". Weiss started. "I've heard that students from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today. And, as a representative of Beacon, I feel as though it is my solemn duty to welcome them in this fine kingdom.".

"Yeah, it would be nice if you joined us!". Ruby happily stated. "Plus..we'll have a double date later. Oh! Oh! I know an ice cream shop in Vale, we could eat a lot of ice creams and buy some sweets there!". She added.

"Oh..that's quite fun to interact with but..I have to refuse. Sorry.". I said and simply snatched the gloves resting on my study stable.

"What? Why?". Ruby whines.

"Remember the trouble I made last time? I have to deal with the consequence by spending a 48 hour detention with Professor Goodwitch after class.". I said and quickly put those gloves on my hands, concealing the shiny jewels off from their wondering eyes.

"Aww man.". Ruby's smile falters and lowered her head to the floor.

Weiss shares the same look but still looking to me with those bright blue eyes filled with dissatisfaction. I sigh before turning my gaze towards them and patted their heads with a small smile.

"I don't have any other plans after the detention so..i wouldn't mind catching up with you guys in Vale later.". I said.

Their gloomy expressions vanquished and a heartwarming smile came into their faces once they heard me.

"Really?". Ruby quickly lifted her head and shot her silver eyes on me. "You mean it?".

"Yes. I mean it.". I reassured her and look on Weiss who's silently standing beside me.
