My Sonic Underground [Moved To AO3]

Chapter 17~Angel Island

~Knuckle's PoV~
   The next day on the giant floating island in the sky; a red echidna, the last of the echidna race in fact, lived.

   'I wonder how Sonia's doing.' I wondered as I reclined on the third step from the summit of the altar where the Master Emerald rested.

   I close my eyes as I remember how shocked I'd been when she & Manic had come up to the Floating Isle to tell me that Sonic and Ambrosia had been killed by Robotnik; or worse.

   When I had first met Ambrosia, I had sensed powerful Chaos powers in her, enough to possibly give Shadow a run for his money without his rings on. And I was friends with all four of them. I had even met their mother after they had left, saying she was glad that her children were friends with the emerald guardian.

   So, when the Master Emerald teleported Angel Island here to Earth to keep it's power out of Robotnik's grasp; I had been speechless when I saw Sonic here in this world!

   I was jerked out of my reminiscing when a familiar seductive voice called out to me. I leap to my feet and see Rouge the Bat on the Master Emerald.

   "Thanks for the gift, Knuckie." She said, lifting the large emerald. I growl angrily and am about to charge at her when I pause. Rouge and the emerald are surrounded by a strangely familiar golden psychic energy. My guesses are confirmed as I hear a soft voice behind me.

   "Na ah ah. That's not yours Rouge." It says as the psychic aura moves it from her grasp and sets it back. A moment later, Rouge goes for a little skydiving trip. I turn around and my jaw drops.

   A golden hedgie a full head shorter than Sonic, who stands next to her, is panting. Shadow the Edgehog, the Ultimate Lifeform, is leaning casually on a pillar. Tails the fox is hovering on the other side of Sonic. Silver is floating with his telekinesis and Blaze the Cat is sprinting after a familiar green hedgie, hissing something unintelligible.(Manic pick-pocketed one of her Sol Emeralds) And I'm suddenly tackled to the flagstones by a magenta blur.

   "KNUCKLES!" Sonia screams out, hugging me. I blush and begin stammering like an idiot.

   "S... Sonia? How'd you get here?" I ask, shocked. I look past her. "And why is Blaze setting your brother's quills on fire?"

   "The Oracle sent us here to reunite with Sonic and Ambrosia. I was so worried when Angel Island disappeared! I thought Robuttnik had destroyed it somehow!!" Sonia replied, helping me up, her pretty face as red as my fur.

   "Now that we're all together, can we play a few songs? As a family?" Tails asked, summoning a DJ stand, to my utter surprise. Sonic ruffled his bangs.

   "Of course we can." He replied, grinning deviously. "That means you to Shadz. Apparently, Mom sent him to the past to keep him safe from Robuttnik."

~3rd Person PoV~
   A few minutes later, Sonic had his purple, blue & yellow, three-necked guitar; Sonia on her keyboard; Manic on his drums; Silver was holding Amber's silver and gold microphone for her while she played her guitar; Shadow had a crimson, black & gold guitar in a similar shape as Sonic's and Tails was on an orange, white, and sky blue DJ stand.

   "So, should we sing the song about the prophecy first; then the one I came up with; and finish off with the one Sonic wrote before you-know-what happened?" Ambrosia suggested. Her siblings nodded and they all began to play.
