Silver's POV in the eyes of Dark Gaia (italics signify the God's thoughts):

I felt a strong tug in my chest, my eyes perhaps dilating as I lost focus for a moment. As if it was out of reflex, I grabbed their wrists and jumped to the portal with them as fast as I could.
I had never felt so much adrenaline pumping through my veins. A part of me feels like something is familiar in this series of events, but it kept fading away as if it was just a mere hunch.

It is never just a hunch; it is a game you decided to play – and I am yet to witness another repercussion of your reckless actions.

"Tails, just in time!" Knuckles panted as he ran towards us together with Amy Rose – we landed safely inside Tails' workshop. "Rouge just passed a confidential report from GUN: a strong boom of electromagnetic waves coming from Mystic Ruins interfered the transmission of radio signals across United Federations. While it is not yet confirmed that it came from Eggman, I doubt there's anyone else insane enough to conduct unverified experiments and research in this nation."

"We can't use the Tornado," his tails propelled as he flew towards his desk. "It will attract too much attention. I haven't recalibrated its system."

"I would chaos control us there all at once, but my psychokinesis overpowers my chaos abilities unless," bright cyan glowed from the marks of my palms – a plan crossing my mind to discreetly infiltrate the doctor's lair. "I teleport you one by one with the help of a chaos emerald."

It was then Tails threw the yellow and purple chaos emerald at me while smiling faintly, "That's what I thought."

With a small nod, I started to transport them at the vicinity of the Mystic Ruins as I banked on conserving enough power to fend for myself during the execution of our game plan.
Being left alone in the workshop, I took a deep breath – skepticism clouding my mind as I felt like we were about to come unprepared.

You are never ready.

Just like the first time.

I landed on my toes without a sound, drawing my right wrist close to my mouth as I whispered, "I'll leave my microphone unmuted, I'll start searching for the base; ready to meet at the center point upon the confirmation of my location."

"Affirmative," nervousness dripped from Tails' tone as he lowered the prominence of the others' signals.

Breathe in, breathe out – I tried burying all my apprehensions at the back of my mind.

Smart move, you will need it to face the same turnabout of events, mortal.

Covering myself in blue neon, I started to inspect the area, leaving no stone unturned. After a few minutes of gliding from one trail to another, I found myself standing in front of a metallic gate covered by a few plants. Surprisingly enough, there were no machines guiding the entrance. It was almost as if we were invited and highly expected to come.
Carefully examining the red marking engraved on the metal, it was the doctor's sign without a doubt. I tapped on my communicator – letting my location be known to the group.

Taking a deep breath, I reached out to push the door when a red pointer appeared on the ground and aimed up to the middle of my forehead – Eggman's voice blaring from the speaker, "I do not wish to crush some rat today due to more important objectives, but if you insist to pass through, then you'll only leave me no choice."

"I mean no harm, doctor," I gradually raised my hands up in the air to imply that I was ready to surrender while I saw the group ready to strike from the corner of my eyes – until then, I prevented any of my powers from trickling up my fingertips. "Not until now-"
