Hiccup POV:*he's so adorable..... I wonder if he thinks that himself? That's something to ask later...* I spaced out just looking at him. I put down my sketch book and hopped off my bed.

"Sleep well pal." I said, crouching down to pat his head which made him twitch an ear in response.

"Yup. Your definitely adorable." I said in a hushed snicker.

"Hiccup!" My dad called from the bottom of the stairs.

I sighed, and left toothless alone. When I was walking out the bedroom door I looked back at him, he looked so peaceful. "Love ya buddy" I whispered to him, and closed the door.

"Yeah?" I arrived at the bottom. I scanned the room for my father. He was still at the fire.

"Umm.... Astrid's waiting on you outside, 'pparently something's bothering her... I'll call you when dinners ready." I was nearing the door.

"Huh... I'll try sort it out... see ya later!" I practically ran out the door.

"Hey hiccup!" Astrid waved to me.

"Hi. What's up? My dad's cooking dinner so we'll have to be quick." I crossed my arms and leaned against the wall of my house.

"Uh..... so your thing..... you know.... with toothless...." she seemed to be a little uncomfortable talking about it.

"Yeah... that.... what about it?" I was concerned for a moment.

"Well... I kinda trusted the twins with that knowledge...." she really wasn't wanting this conversation.

"There's something your trying to tell me, it's fine Astrid. Just spit it out." I don't want her trying to dodge the situation she got herself into.

"Well they kinda told snotlout and he isn't exactly a fan of the whole thing..... and he told a few others, and so on... and we both know that vikings aren't known for being ok with relationships between two males, never mind two males of completely different species... I'm sorry... I knew it wasn't a good idea..." she was disappointed in herself.

"Well I knew an outbreak would happen... just not this fast....." I mumbled.

"Its my fault, I'm so sorry hiccup...." she looked down in shame.

"Heh. Don't worry about it! I've already thought this through!" I said proudly.

"And that is?" I seemed to have confused her.

"Well, me and tooth go to an island and we only tell you our location so you can keep us up to date on what's happening!" I gave her a slight grin

"I guess it would work... but what about the tracking dragons? They could find you guys?" She asked.

"Toothless is the alpha. Just order all dragons to keep everyone away." I thought this plan was foolproof!

"Erm... dinners ready son." My dad said, poking his head out the door.

"Ah.... sorry Astrid, need to go now but I'll talk to you afterwards!"I walked into the house waving her goodbye.

"Bye!"she waved back.

*this isn't going well... and how am I going to give toothless a valid reason to take me away? He's gonna want answers....* I closed the door and walked upstairs before being stopped by my dad.

"Where ya going son? Your dinners right here?" He placed a bowl of stew nearby my favourite chair.

"Oh, I told toothless I'd wake him up when it's ready."I replied with a weak smile.
