Healing wounds (Under Re-write)

PART 6 Midnight Adventure

Toothless POV: I didn't feel like sleeping so I decided to head outside for a short walk and hopped out the bedroom window.

"Stormfly!" I called out waiting for a response from her whilst I wandered through the streets of berk.

"Stormf-!" I was interrupted by a deep purple zippleback, they seemed concerned...

"Are you in distress my alpha?" One head said to me, but he spoke softly.

"Who are you guys? I don't think we've met?" I tilted my head and sat where I was

"Well alpha, we are watchers, if asked to look over someone, we will do so. Your friend seemed to be worried about you so she sent us to aid you." The other spoke

"I've no clue what you are talking about, are there other dragons looking over me?" I turn my head to the sky and tried to spot movement.

"No alpha, we are the only ones been given this role as far as we know" they both said

"But, I don't recall giving anyone this role, who gave you it?"

"Didn't someone tell you?" The left head questioned, and the right continued. "There are many roles In the flock who only do tasks for the alpha, or those of whom the alpha trusts with these dragons under their control." He finished, and the left picked up where he left off. "This includes, trackers, armored body gards, messengers, scouts, spies, and many more, all are automatically selected from the best of the best to aid the alpha in any way, shape, or form. All under your command."

"Really? That's so cool!" I hopped into the air a little with a smile on my face.

"How does it work?" I stop my playful self and ask.

"Well, call for a messenger, they respond if you call their roll, then ask for anything your heart desires!" The left spoke out.

"Messenger!" I yelled into the air, not seeing anything for a moment.

"Yes my alpha?" A small terrible terror approached me from behind, bowing his head in respect.

"Erm.... could you get stormfly? Oh! And a scout to find out if there are any hot pools nearby?" I got quite excited.

"Oh course! Anything else?"

"Umm.... no, I'm good! Thank you!" And with that, the terror flew away.

"What now?" I look back towards the zippleback.

"We wait." They said in unison.
A few seconds past and I saw stormfly gliding towards us. She landed and approached me.

"You ok tooth? Apparently you called for me?"

"Well, do you think we could hang out again? I'm quite bored... but only if your free!" I rushed the last part.

"Sure! Can't see any harm in that! What do you suppose we do?"

I signalled the zippleback to go, and they left us be.

"Well, I've made a little discovery! Just wait for the moment, they will come."

Moments later, and another dragon came, it was.... skull crusher? Landing right in front of us.

"Good evening, alpha. As you requested, I've searched in the nearby area. If you enter the forest in that direction" he pointed with his horn. "You will reach it in less than twenty minutes."

And he took off with heist.

I got done explaining what new things I had discovered about my role as alpha to stormfly on the walk. She seemed quite excited about the idea.

"Really? I thought it was only watchers! Have you tried anything else?"

"Well I've not exactly had the chance to, but I guess we could see if the messangers reach out this far?"

"Go ahead!" She replied.

"Well? What do you want?"

"Oh... I can get something? Well, I'll just have a few fish, feeling quite hungry"

I called out for the messanger, surprisingly, they came! I gave the order and the fish was delivered shortly after.

We eat for a moment, and then I climbed into the large pool, it was deep enough to get up to my shoulders which surprised me a little.

"Aren't you coming in? Its quite warm!" I asked her.

"Not feeling like getting wet right now" she looked around, checking if there was anyone around. "When are you telling hiccup? Have you done it?"

I gave a short giggle. "No, I've not told him anything yet, why do you ask?"

"Just curious, why aren't you with him now?"

"Well I wish I was, but stoick wanted a private chat with him sadly"

"I see... what about the others? They WILL find out, they can be quite good at learning things they shouldn't, haha"

"I guess you right...." I climbed out the pool and shook off the water before sitting near stormfly and looking at my reflection in the water.

"Well it's best to tell them than letting them find out other ways and tell the whole flock... but you can prevent that from happening!"

"But..." I look down to my paws. "I'm still scared..." I look up at her.

"Well why don't I tell them for you? I'll talk them through it! You don't need to worry tooth, they are your friends! They will stand by you no matter what!" She was very positive about the idea.

"Are you sure?" I wimperd.

"Well toothless, they wouldn't be true friends if they weren't going to accept you would they?"

"Yeah, your right. But... I'm still a little uncomfortable with it..."

"Toothless, I never said it would be easy, you just need to be brave for me! Can you do that pal?"

"I guess...." I shifted uncomfortably.

She shuffled closer to me and offered me her wing, which I happily went under and she pulled me close.

"Well, get a messanger and we can do this. Whenever you're comfortable with it."

I hesitated for a moment, then called out once more and asked for my friends to be retrieved.

One by one they all arrived, I was petrified by what was going to happen tonight, but I knew that it needed to be done... I could only hope they didn't take it the wrong way...
