Two Weeks Later
That weekend I spent with Gerard in Jersey was awesome. After Elena got out of surgery, she was in tip top shape. She practically ate the cake I made all by her self, and she was able to be released to go home that Sunday morning. Gerard couldn't be happier, which made me happy. And also, his parents, love me. It's shocking. They act more loving towards me, a girl they barely know, than my own parents. They're so nice. Donna let me cook for the whole family all weekend, and didn't even bother to protest. My food was a big success.
Donna says I should go into culinary, instead of photography, but nah. I'm good at what I do, when I need to cook. I don't like doing it all the time. Especially when I don't always have a big group to cook for. I explained this to her, and she nodded. Then she gave me a giant hug, and welcomed me to the family.
Some how I was blessed with an awesome best friend, with awesome parents. Karma is finally looking in my favor.
"Okay it's your turn to pick out our movies tonight."
Gee looked at me, waiting for my answer. It's Saturday, you know what that means, MOVIE NIGHT! Tonight would be a marathon night. Can you say score? My choices were choice, even though, I know we're going to have problems with one. But oh well, my night, my movies. He's just gonna have to deal.
"Rocky Horror, Phantom of the Paradise, and....Grease."
"No, not again."
"I can't help it, I'm addicted."
"Fine, but we're getting Greek food."
"NO!"
"Hey, we got Italian last night like you wanted. And If I have to sit and watch John Travolta strut around for two hours, I want some lamb kabobs."
"Okay, do you plan on setting our apartment on fire after dinner? Because that's the only way to get the smell of Feta cheese out."
"Now you're just over exaggerating."
"Am I?"
He narrowed his eyes at me, and shook his head. Ha! I'm right.
Kayla:1 Gerard:0.
Win.
"Doesn't matter, my night to pick dinner."
"Fine tonight Greek food, but next Saturday, when we're watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Carrie, and Halloween. We're having Thai food."
"Deal. Now, what do you want?"
I sighed,
"Lamb kabobs, get some Gyros, oooh...some Moussaka sounds awesome, and of course don't forget the Baklava."
My mouth started watering at the thought of Baklava.
"See, look at you. You're already salivating over the thoughts of Baklava."
"Well yeah, it's fucking delicious."
He shook his head and chuckled, heart flipped. And before you ask, no...this shit isn't under control yet. Still getting tingles, still getting flutter heart. I really wish it'd stop...but I don't think I could get so lucky.
"I'll make the call."
"And I'll grab the movies."
I walked over to the entertainment center where we kept our movies. And grabbed the three I picked for the day. We're starting earlier than usual but only because we have things to do, and places to go tomorrow. Like the gym, and the coffee shop. They're having some open mic poetry day tomorrow. Not night, nope, day. So we get to see a bunch of burn out, caffeinated hippies try to preform poetry. Sounds fuckin' sweet.
