Chapter 4

Two months had passed since I'd been on earth, I've been doing nothing but getting accustomed to your ways. The whole idea of living your life based off some device and invisible people on the internet seemed absurd to me but it came helpful when needed, like ordering for chicken(I got to give it to you earthlings you know, the chicken has to be one of the greatest things on the planet!). Speaking of chicken, there was this one time Luke offered to get me a bucket of chicken on the way back from the mall. We'd gotten to one of the KFC eateries around for the chicken (They undoubtedly have the best there is), then I saw her, 'Who's her?' you ask? Only the most beautiful female I'd ever set my eyes on, she had bushy brows but not the type that would make you weirded out, beautiful black eyes, freckles which to me are really cute no matter how you look at them, with a smile that would kill even the gods themselves. I couldn't get her face off my mind from the moment I saw her; hell I couldn't even get my eyes off her, she was just amazing to say the least.

"Hey." She said once she noticed me staring at her. Well I'd like to say I handled it really well but, as it turns out, I'm not just scared of certain death, I am also scared of human females. I did say something smart like "huh, err, huh." Then she laughed, it wasn't in that 'who's this loser' manner, rather it was more of a... icebreaker sort of thing. Then she said " You're cute, my name's Lola. What's yours?" She had this deep girly tone that sounded nice when she spoke. And at that moment I wish I had the temerity to speak but well, I haven't been all that great with the ladies even on my own planet.

Well, thankfully Luke was helpful at that point, "What a nice surprise this is, Lola! How are you? I see you've met Klaus." Then I smiled in a goofy 'I totally planned that to happen' way as she looked my way again and I laughed. "Hey". Whoa whoa whoa, dude... I love a good love story as much as the other guy(no I don't) but like, it's too early to embarrass myself before your readers you know. Let's move past the girl I happen to love cause we Kligs happen to believe in mate for life, but you earthlings don't enjoy the process.

Now you see why I would much rather not have him do the talking, he tends to be embarrassing at the worst of times, yes Lola is the love of my life, yes we get together and eventually split due to circumstances, all that cliche stuff yunno. Spoilers, I know that, but here's how it really went, we talked for a while, she laughed and smiled and I knew I wouldn't want to leave such a lovely lady for anyone else, the end.

Well, that happened, so Lola's mum came over after making her order saw Luke with her kid and you know just how people get with acquaintances or friends they don't see too often with the pleasantries and greetings and all that. Gave me quite a bit more time with the prettiest human on earth, up until Maurice came along and they remembered just where they were and I couldn't get any means of contacting her before she'd left. But you all know we get back together so obviously you're not half as bummed out about it as I was, well up till the ride home that is.

"So Ruine, Maurice and I have been talking, and we think it's time you got out and met other people, people other than he and I you know. People of your age group and thereabout, just like Lola back there. You'd be going to school right after the summer holidays, we already picked out one and I'm sure you'd come to love it too. And before you say anything, Lola's gonna be there too, don't think I didn't notice how you were acting around her today playa." Luke said on the drive back to their place, I hadn't thought much of here as home and well, I didn't try to hide it, not like I could anyways. Now I know what you all are thinking "He's obviously going to go for it. She's there why wouldn't he" but like I'd said, I wasn't all that psyched to be at a different planet much less getting to meet much more of your technologically backwards kind "Pfft, as if, I don't mean much of an offense or whatever but, I would much rather be at my own planet and around my own people but, as you know... I don't have much of a choice as it is so, whatever, I'd go to school or whatever." That was my reply so I guess I wasn't so opposed to the whole idea of meeting up with her again or something. "Well at least that wasn't a no." Maurice said breaking the brief silence that had encroached right after that not so pleasing tone of mine. Maybe I haven't been giving them the best of times considering how nice and accommodating they've been to me so far, boohoo!

"Well err... Seeing as you didn't exactly oppose to that, I'm guessing your dad-AI thingy is also on board, yes?" Luke has a thing for prying into things I don't want pryed into ugh!! Dad-AI hasn't exactly been forthcoming for a while now, say, I don't know, a couple of days after I got his voice in my head. He hasn't been answering any of my questions so far and Luke knew that, but he just had to bring it up like always. "You know just as well as everyone in this vehicle that he's been silent ever since I got here, and for the millionth time Luke, I do not wish to talk about it please. Can we just focus on getting back to your place in perfect silence, thank you!" I don't mean to raise my voice as much as do around them you know, but he just had to go bringing that up like he always does. Such a nag.
