Chapter Sixteen

Alyssa's POV

Brendon left the last week after lunch.I made him go so that my aunt will not be suspicious at us,because she really is curious right now.She asked me why Brendon was looking at me like that,and then I answered that she would not worry about that because Brendon is really admiring people.Its a a part of him actually,and I'm glad.
Brendon just sits there,also telling lies to her.Everytime she gets up from the couch,me and Brendon laughed at what were doing.I'm not actually worried about that though,Brendon assured me that he will take care of it.Besides,were just friends and nothing will ever change that.

Its Saturday once again.I am chilling in the kitchen on my phone.My aunt is busy in her office and she is a bit noisy.She is still stuck in work.I sighed and went up to my room.Its already 8pm.An hour came by,my aunt went in my room."Ali,go to sleep later okay? I am just gonna finish my work in 30 minutes.Goodnight."She shuts the door and I lay down on my bed.Why is she like this in the past 5 days? She has been weird and busy all the time,and I got bored by that."Goodnight,Alyssa!"I heard her and yelled back.I was about to cover slide in my covers when I heard my phone.I quickly answered it.
"Brendon,are you crazy? My aunt is sleeping right now,she'll hear you."I whispered to my phone."Oh,I'm sorry doll.Sorry sorry sorry."I heard him whisper back.I chuckle."Why are you calling at this time?Is there something important you wanna tell me?"

"Yes.."He laughs.This man is crazy.
"Are you kidding me right now Bren? I'm going to sleep now."
"Wait wait!I was going to ask you something."I am curious and furious at the same time.
"What?" He sighs deeply."I have a surprise for you."A surprise.
"Tomorrow?"
"No,um now."Are you kidding me now?
"Now? But I'm ready to sleep."
I can tell that he is nervous while asking me.
"We're going somewhere,doll,is that okay with you?"I was shocked.
"Yes,its okay but I need to know where."
"Its a surprise and I know you'll love it.Just be ready there and I'm going to fetch you.I'm driving there now."I hear him shuffling his keys."I'll just text you when I'm there."He ended the call and I go to my closet to change.I grab my leggings and my sweater.I wore my converseI fix my hair and locked my room.My phone vibrated and I look at its screen.*Window.*
I looked down the window and saw him down there.I wave and he waves too.I opened my window.I made it out and closed it.I stepped to the very end of the roof.
I hopped on a strong tree branch and hold myself tight on the trees trunk.
"Brendon,I can't jump this far."
He walked closer to the tree.
"I'll catch you,trust me.I'll never let you fall."Hearing that,I braced myself and jumped.
I landed to him perfectly,me in his arms.A tear fell on my face because I've never done this before."He looks at my face and places me gently on the ground."Don't cry,its okay.I'm here."He hugged me again.After that,I pushed him playfully."You are crazy."He laughed and takes my hand.We ran to his car and we got inside and then we drove off.

(1 hour driving)
"Are we there yet?"I whine as I slouched in the front seat."Not yet.Why don't you sleep there for a while."He gets neck pillow from the backseat and handed it to me."Great Idea."I wore the neck pillow and doze off with him turning on some music.

(2 hours driving)
"Doll,"He whispered in my ear.I wake up and were in a gas station."I stopped by for a little.Here."He gave me a warm sandwhich and his water bottle.I returned back his bottle."No its yours."He pushed it back to me."I'll just buy another one."He said."Tanks full sir."He pays the gas man and drives off.He looks at me and smiled."Now eat."I take a bite of the sandwhich.
"Are we there yet?"

"Nope."

I fell asleep after eating and later on as I wake up.Its all dark.I touch my face and theres a blindfold."Brendon,why is there-"I began to undo it.His hands stop me."Were here.Don't take it off just yet."He opened his car door.And then he opened mine.He guided me out and holds my hand."So this is your surprise?" "Yeah,just wait for a moment."
We walked and stopped."I hope you will like this."He stepped behind me and undo the blindfold.I opened my eyes and gasped as I looked around.Were in New York Central Park!
In 12 fucking am!

I turned to face him."Bren,how did you know? I longed to go here someday.."I hugged him.He rubs my back."I've been hearing you and Marsha talk about her trip to NYC.You always dreamed of being here.I know."He caresses my face."Wait let me get a picnic blanket."We went near the park but the gates are closed.I tell Brendon not to go in but he barged in the gate.I am a little worried about it,but there's no going back.We find a perfect spot and we lay the picnic blanket and lay down there.We chose a spot near a big tree.We looked at the sky and the stars are so beautiful from above.
I turn to Brendon,"Yet this is still a crazy idea,what if my aunt wakes up?"He also turned to me."She'll not.Stop worrying for one night.Just enjoy this sweetheart."I laugh at him and looked at the sky again."Its morning actually."He chuckled and pulled me to his chest.I smiled like an idiot everytime I look at him.
"Can you tell me a story?"
