"Why we stopped already?"

"I need to buy some things, before we go..."I said , a little annoyed by his attitude. "this is probably the last time we'll be in a city for some time"

he seems shocked, but nodded.

" It won't be long, okay?" I said while taking my backpack "I'll be back in less than one hour okay?" after that, I jumped out and I closed the door behind me, totally missing the look on the boy's face.

I firstly went to get some groceries, regretting later the fact of not having a bigger bag with me. The backpack was so heavy, and my back was basically screaming in pain.

I then went to get some clothes for Yoongi, and I blushed to the idea of having to buy underwear for him.

I could have asked the boy to come with me but I knew I needed some time alone, I wasn't used to be near somebody for so long , after I spent years completely alone. I mean, I was still working with people on my side, but I needed some time just by myself in which I could relax and recharge.

When I was finally done with my shopping , the sky was reddish, the sun was going down, and I sighed realizing how late I was. With some struggle I took out my phone, checking the time. I gasped, realizing that I've been out way past one hour.

When I got back to my van, I expected Yoongi to be waiting for me, probably scrolling on his phone or something... instead I found him on the floor, in the dark, knees hugged close to his chest, and tears running down his face.

"Y-you said only o-one h-our" were the first words he said to me "I'm sorry... I got caught up."

He nodded, removing harshly the tears left on his cheeks.

"when did it start?"

"what?"

"the separation issue." I say while shutting the door and turning on the light.

"I-I don't know what you're speaking about." He said, turning the his back to me, and getting up to help me with the bags, and that was enough for me to understand that he didn't want to speak about it.

I handed him the bags with his clothes, and he thanked me, blushing slightly.

I just chuckled and started to put things away.

I took out a pot and some ingredients in order to cook something for dinner, but Yoongi stopped me, saying that he wanted to cook the meal as a way to thank me for all the things I was doing for him.

I gladly accepted his offer, mostly because I was starting to feel the hours of driving and the long walk in the city of the day.

I sat down on the table, watching him. I looked at the way he was cutting the food, his eyes focused on the task and his mouth a little parted from concentration.

He seemed so delicate, yet, so secure about what he was doing.

He gasped and cursed slowly, when he burned himself. I jumped up, ready to help him, but I quickly sat down , seeing that it was nothing.

After that small accident he kept on cooking. Soon after a pleasant smell could be smelled on the air.

I smiled when he placed a plate in front of me. There was rice, some vegetables and a big egg in the center.

"thank you" I said "It seems delicious!" I picked up the chopsticks, starting to eat some vegetables.

"wait, wait!" he quickly stopped me " you need to break the egg first!" he said while proceeding to show me the right way to eat the dish.

I smiled, and started to eat, this time in the right way.

The dinner proceeded in a comfortable silence, both of us enjoying the food.

When we were done, we found ourself staring at each other. I was the first to break the silence: "thank you for the dinner! It was really good " I said sincerely "does that dish have a name?"

"yes, It's a typical Korean plate. It's called bibimpap."

He then told me how that particular dish was important to him. His mum used to cook it for every time he felt sad or angry or wasn't feeling well in general. It always cheered him up.

I knew by the look of his eyes that he missed her, but I didn't want to ruin the calm atmosphere.

"So, where are we going tomorrow?" he said changing the topic.

" we'll go to West Virginia, North Carolina and then we'll go down the coast." I said while looking at the map hanged on the wall.

"it looks like you know these places really well..."

"yes... you know, I have been here for nearly three years and I have had a lot of time to travel around with Betty." I said, while my mind was already running away, memories of the past years flashing in front of my eyes.

"Betty?"

"My van" I replied laughing after seeing the boy's face "And, Yoongi..."

"hum?"

"go take a shower, you stink!"
