After that day at the lake I was expecting for something to change.
I don't really know what, just something... even though deep down I was hoping that Yoongi would open up a little bit ; all my attempts for making him speak where useless, and I was starting to get a little annoyed.
After all I wasn't used to live so close with somebody and a part of me didn't really know how to behave.
.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
We were done with our breakfast and my eye fell on the pile of clothes left in a corner.
"You know, we should do the laundry" I said
He looked at me a little annoyed " Do we really have to?"
"unless you don't want to go around naked... yes we do!"
He started to pick up all of his clothes while muttering something like 'not that I would mind ', making my cheeks on fire .
We walked to a stream, not too far away, and sat down our stuff.
I took a shirt and immerged it in the cold water; my hands instantly getting red for the change of temperature.
I took it out and rubbed some soap on it before putting it back in the water.
I looked at Yoongi who seemed unsure of what to do, and invited him to do the same.
He proceed to do so, and hissed when his hands came in contact with the cold water.
We repeated this process for awhile until all our clothes were just a wet pile; we went back to Betty for drying the clothes.
.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
"Can we go on a hike around here?" the boy asked when we were lying on the grass, completely full after our lunch.
"it's just that here is so beautiful " he added, his gaze lost in the scenery in front of him.
I nodded, accepting his idea and proceeding to clean up the place.
We turned our back to the lake and started exploring.
.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
The hike was silent; both of us refusing to speak in order to preserve some oxygen in our lungs, and scared to break that sensation of peace filling us.
We would stop sometimes to catch our breath or to observe something.
In fact, I was looking at a butterfly, taking some nectar from a flower when I heard Yoongi shouting.
I looked behind me, expecting to see to singer, but only found trees looking back at me.
The butterfly was now gracefully flying away, scared form the sudden outburst.
"Yoongi! Where are you?" my voice cracked by a note of fear
"here" was the faint answer that I got, coming from somewhere behind me.
I followed it, finding the boy many meters down, on the ground, covered with dirt and leafs.
I carefully went down, taking small steps, until I was crouching in front of the shaking boy.
He was covered in small cuts, coming probably from thorns.
"Does something hurt?" I asked carefully, taking a quick look
He pointed to his ankle and I silently prayed for it not to be broken while I examined it.
Small whimpers leaving his mouth, as I touched the skin as gently as I could.
"it's not broken" I said, relief washing over me "I think it's just twisted."
"how do you know it?"he asked with a shaky voice
"If it was, I would have found something jelly-like, instead of a solid bone" I explained "and you would have been screaming your lungs out" I added chuckling.
I helped him back up and we started our way back to the van, walking slowly with a limping Yoongi hugged to me.
Back inside I cleaned up his wounds, and bandaged his ankle.
During all the process he was silent, apart from small whimpers escaping his lips when I moved to his feet.
"try not to put weight on that leg for some days okay?"
He seemed unsure but nodded anyway
"something else hurts?" I asked, noticing the look on his face
"it's just..." he trailed off, shaking his head "I'm sorry, I ruined everything."
"it's fine Yoongi " I answered softly "we can try another time"
He furiously shacked his head, making me chuckle.
