I quickly learned that Yoongi was a silent companion.
He didn't spoke much during the first hour of the journey.
Not that I minded, though, I had travelled alone for years and I was used to the silence.
After the second hour of driving, the traffic started to grow and that wasn't good. Time was running and we couldn't be late.
And then It happened.
I saw it in front of my eyes.
The sound of wheels tearing the cement, leaving dark spots on the street in a desperate attempt to break; which turned out completely useless as the sound of two cars crashing could be heard not so far from us and we had to stop completely.
I cursed, knowing perfectly well that it would be impossible to reach the airport with that street.
I watched the driver getting off the car with a red face from anger and running towards the other vehicle; he started shouting as soon as he got there, without even checking if the other was injured.
"what happened?" Yoongi asked, finally looking up from his phone.
"two cars crushed at the end of the block, we won't be able to get there in time."
"what? No please! I need to get there! Isn't there another way?"
"no Yoongi, I'm sorry . This street is only one way. I can't go back now."
And just like that we were stuck for more that 30 minutes before somebody finally arrived and we started to move again, painfully slow.
In the meantime Yoongi tried to make some calls with no success .
We were both getting pretty annoyed. Him for all the unanswered calls and I for the heavy traffic.
After some time his phone went off and I turned down the radio, watching him frenetically answering the phone; before realising that I couldn't understand a single word he was saying.
Right... he said he's from Korea, stupid!... it's obvious that you don't understand him!
From the look on his face the call wasn't going that well, I watched his face going red from anger while he furiously ended the call.
"problems?" I asked.
"it seems like they don't really care about me going with them. They said that I need to get there in time, they won't wait for me. Can you go faster?"
"don't worry, we're nearly there, I'll do my best okay?" I said trying to reassure him and pushing the accelerator.
