"I DON'T KNOW what it was," Scott admitted as the trio walked through the creek, Lilith doing her best to not to get her swayed shoes wet and ruin them. She really didn't have money for new ones and was ready to throw hands with the boys for dragging her out there. It wasn't her fault Stiles made them trudge through the forest in the middle of the night to find a dead body and her cousin happened to lose his inhaler when he found it and got scared. "It was like I had all the time in the world to catch the ball. And that's not the only weird thing. I can hear stuff I shouldn't be able to hear, smell things."

"Smell things? Like what?" Stiles asked as they exited the creek and moved on to the leaves.

"Like mint mojito gum in your pocket," He answered, confusing the other two.

"I don't even have any mint mojito-" But Stiles didn't finish his sentence as he pulled out half a piece of mint mojito gum. Yeah, that shouldn't happening, considering Stiles didn't even know. "So this all started with a bite."

"What if it's like an infection, like my body's flooding with adrenaline before I go into shock or something?" Scott stressed and Lilith hoped that wasn't true, especially as they were over a mile into the woods and the nearest hospital was a little ways away.

"You know what? I actually think I've heard of this. It's a specific kind of infection," Stiles told them and Scott stopped abruptly, causing Lily to run into his side.

"Are you serious?" He asked and Lilith knew the answer was probably no. When was Stiles ever serious?

"Yeah. Yeah. I think it's called lycanthropy." Lilith let out a loud laugh at the idea, thinking it was absolutely stupid. Scott? A werewolf? Never.

"What's that? Is that bad?" The boy in question asked, genuinely concerned which only made Lilith laugh harder.

"Oh yeah, it's the worst. But only once a month, you know, on the night of the full moon," Lily joined in on Stiles' joke, stopping herself from laughing again by covering her mouth as Stiles howled. Scott pushed both of them, mad at them for not taking it seriously.

"Hey man!" Stiles defended, putting his hands up in surrender. "You're the one who heard a wolf howling."

"Yeah! There could be something seriously wrong with me!" Scott argued and Lilith nodded in fake agreement.

"That's what we're saying! You're a werewolf!" Lilith continued to joke as Stiles roared more like a dinosaur than a wolf. "Okay, obviously we're joking, Scott."

"But, if you see me in shop class trying to melt all the silver I can find it's because Friday is a full moon," Stiles pointed out and Lilith hummed in agreement, even though she didn't take shop, not taking the idea of Scott being part wolf serious until she heard that. What if Scott was a werewolf? What about the party? What would happen? But the girl brushed it off, there was no way her baby cousin was a werewolf. She'd had weird experiences her whole life, but Scott was about as normal as it got.
