"YOU LOST THEM?" Derek asked Scott through the phone as the trio tried to find the two very angry and powerful wolves who were running through the woods. "Wasn't exactly the plan."

"Yeah, no shit, dumbass," Lilith hissed, sitting down against a tree. He sent a glare her way and she simply shrugged, sending him a joking wink. He rolled his eyes, turning away from her.

"Look, I'm at the trails by the entrance to the preserve. Can you meet me here?" Lilith's eyebrows raised at his use of 'me' instead of 'us'. She was helping whether they liked it or not. He hung up, turning to Lilith.

"Did you just say 'me'? Because I hope you know I'm coming with whether you like it or not," she scolded him, the wolf rolling his eyes at her. They seemed to do that a lot, rolling their eyes at each other.

"Lil-"

"No! Don't 'Lil' me right now! You guys need help, so I'm helping. End of discussion," she growled, standing up. With a sigh, he bent over, opening his arms for her to jump onto his back. They ran to catch up with Scott, inspecting prints left on the ground.

"Is this them?" Scott asked.

"We're not the only ones that decided to stick together," Derek confirmed, setting Lilith on the ground.

"Is that going to make it easier or harder to catch them?" The beta questioned further.

"Well, easier to find, harder to catch," Lilith summarized, the boy nodding.

"Derek, I saw Boyd try to rip two little kids apart. Are they going to do that to everyone they find?" Lilith thought it was a stupid question given Boyd would never rip children apart in a normal setting.

"Everyone and anyone."

They finally found one, running into Cora near a camp site. They had gotten Isaac to join, the three wolves going at her as Lilith readied her gun and looked for things to throw. She couldn't exactly move people consistently yet, but she could objects. The wolves barred their teeth, so from her position still on Derek's back, she did the best thing she could think of. She tried to drop a tree on Cora. It wasn't the smartest idea, she was well aware of that. Especially after Cora took off. Grumbling about Lilith being stupid, Derek took off again.

They took a small break, getting a call from Stiles about Lydia finding a dead body at the pool. "This doesn't make any sense. The public pool is all the way on the other side of the woods. We haven't tracked them anywhere near there," Derek defended his pack.

"Derek, they killed someone," Scott tried to convince him, but even Lilith didn't think that was the case. It was something stronger, something scarier.

"How are they moving so fast?"

"Derek-"

"But they can't be that fast on foot!"

"They killed someone. Some totally innocent kid is dead, and it's our fault," Scott continued his attempt to reason with the alpha who already lost a member of his pack.
