chapter seven — it's way too obvious
a few months passed and not much happened in school, other than jeno getting into fights and called to the principal's office and boram still trying to make dahye's life miserable.
"i'm gonna miss you guys!"
gahyun dramatically said while wiping her non-existent tears.
"we'll be back after the school break in about two weeks anyway"
eunji laughed.
"yeah, and we have our group chat"
jaeyu reminded.
"aw, is dahye sad because she won't be seeing her jeno for two weeks?"
eunji teased.
dahye who was lost in her own thoughts realized what eunji said and turned pink.
"w-what? of course not"
dahye nervously laughed.
"your face says it all though"
jaeyu also teased.
"and you were clearly looking at jeno"
gahyun added while smirking.
dahye sighed and gave up, she indeed was going to miss jeno. why? jeno would always accompany her after school if she wasn't picked up yet and he would stand up for dahye when boram decides to do anything to her— which mostly happens after school.
"jeno is sad because he can't see his dahye because of the school break?"
haechan nudged jeno who was busy looking at dahye from afar.
"shut up before i punch you in the face"
jeno glared, but he couldn't hide his little smile.
"but you're smiling"
jaemin stated.
"and i'll also punch you in the face"
this time, he glared at jaemin.
"chill, we both know you like her"
"it's way too obvious"
"bye guys!"
the four hugged and separated ways. dahye, as usual, sat at the usual bench, waiting for her dad to finish work and pick her up.
'ding!'
a notification appeared on dahye's phone screen.
"i will be really late, is that ok?"

"yeah, it's fine. drive safe"

dahye placed her phone back in her bag and looked around. a few moments passed and she heard a bag was placed down next to her, she looked up and saw jeno.
"i'm guessing you'll be picked up late again?"
jeno asked.
"that's right, and i'm guessing you're already picked up but for some reason you decided to stay"
dahye replied.
"almost, my driver had to drop off my parents at the airport"
jeno sat next to dahye and she nodded.
