chapter twenty eight — i will, i promise. don't worry
they arrived back at dahye's house and she knocked on the door. within seconds, her parents opened the door, full of excitement.
"congrats you two"
they congratulated.
"thank you"
jeno replied, smiling.
"i just finished cooking dinner, let's eat"
"thank you so much, it was really good"
jeno thanked after they all finished their meal.
"i'm really happy you like it. now that you two are together, please take care and protect dahye okay?"
dahye's mom said.
"i will, i promise. don't worry"
dahye walked jeno out the door after he said goodbye to her parents.
"my parents invited you and your parents to come for lunch tomorrow"
jeno told as they stood outside the door.
"my dad has work and my mom will also work tomorrow, but i'll be able to come"
dahye replied.
"i didn't know your mom works"
he replied with a confused look.
"she'll start working tomorrow, our family's finance isn't the best right now and they wouldn't let me get a part time job to help"
dahye explained and jeno gave her a sympathetic look.
"it'll get better, don't worry"
jeno hugged dahye and caressed her hair.
"i hope so. anyway, what time tomorrow?"
dahye asked.
"twelve, i'll pick you up"
jeno offered.
"no, i'll go with a taxi"
"but-"
"no buts. it's getting late, you should get going"
she said and jeno nodded.
"see you tomorrow, dahye"
jeno waved.
"wait"
he turned around and dahye walked up to him, placing a kiss on his cheek.
"see you tomorrow"
jeno got in his car and his driver drove away. she smiled to herself and walked back into her house, there, she saw her parents look at her with smirks.
"you two are so cute, they remind me of the times when we were dating"
dahye's dad said to dahye's mom.
"yeah, they did. but you weren't as sweet to me"
her mom replied and dahye bursted out laughing.
"that hurted"
her dad said with a pout.
"by the way, jeno's parents invited us for lunch at their house but i told him you two have work but i can come"
dahye informed her parents.
"yeah, we do but tell them we can have lunch together another time"
dahye's dad replied.
"okay and i'll be going with a taxi so don't worry"
she replied.
dahye walked up to her room, changed and took of her makeup. she took out her phone and texted her friends who were spamming their group chat. then, she saw a message from jeno.
"good night dahye thanks for today <3"

"good night jeno see you tomorrow"
dahye texted back and fell a sleep with a smile on her face.
