chapter eleven — "i finally saw the good in him"
the next day, dahye woke up to her alarm ringing. she quickly got up and went to shower, dress up, then finally do her skincare and makeup. dahye looked at herself in the mirror adjusting her belt, she puts on her brother's bracelet he wore the day he passed. she walked down the stairs and saw her mom placing three plates of eggs and bacon on the dining table. after breakfast, they walked out and drove to the cemetery, it was a really sunny day and the traffic was indeed bad. they eventually arrived at the cemetery, holding some flower petals. the three prayed for her brother, while some tears fall down.

dahye stared at the stone and scattered some flowers on her brother's grave along with her parents.
"i miss you, so much"
she said as tears fall down.
some time passed and they have been sitting by donghye's grave in silence.
"we'll get some drinks, dahye. we'll be back soon"
her parents stood up and dahye nodded. now, it was just dahye, sitting alone by donghye's grave.
"how is it up there? i hope you're happy, you didn't deserve to leave like that. you had such an amazing future but it's all gone, i wish you were here with me, you're my best friend"
she said, choking on her tears.
a few moments passed and dahye had told donghye all sorts of things, until she finally started talking about jeno.
"there is this boy i met at school, his name is lee jeno. when i first saw him, i didn't think he was a good person. he fought people all the time and he was really rude. but then, we started talking and he would stay late after school to accompany me when dad didn't pick me up yet and i finally saw the good in him. just like what you said, to always see the good in people"
once dahye finished talking, a leaf fell right in front of her, as if her brother was saying that he'll always be with her.
"dahye, sorry we took a long time"
dahye's dad said walking over and handing dahye a bottle of green tea.
"it's fine, i was talking to donghye"
dahye replied standing up. the three left the cemetery and went to get some food.
on the way, dahye received a message from jeno.
