chapter twenty four — "like what you're looking at?"
"welcome back to hell- i mean school dahye!"
gahyun exclaimed and the three hugged dahye.
"thank you, i missed this place"
"you've been gone for only three days, if i were you i'd tell my parents i still can't walk properly"
jaeyu said, making the other three laugh.
"i begged my parents to let me go to school and promised my ankle doesn't hurt that much anymore or they would keep me at home for two more extra days"
dahye laughed.
"wait i just realized!"
eunji exclaimed which made the others stop their tracks and listen to eunji.
"our classroom is in the seventh floor we need to take the stairs. the elevator broke down because of some malfunctions or something two days ago"
she explained.
"oh yeah, i guess i'm just gonna take fifteen minutes just to get up the stairs"
dahye sighed and shrugged.
"oh hey"
three boys, jeno, jaemin and haecan walked up to the four girls.
"did we all plan to arrive at the same time or something?"
jaemin asked confused.
"coincidence"
dahye shrugged.
"dahye, how are you gonna go all the way up to the seventh floor with crutches? plus, the elevator's broken down"
haechan asked.
"i'll just have to take the stairs, it'll be fine"
dahye shrugged.
"are you wearing shorts?"
jeno randomly asked dahye.
"that was random but yeah, why?"
"okay good, hold on okay?"
jeno said and dahye was still confused but before she could say anything else, she was swept off the ground and jeno was carrying her, bridal style.
"WOAAAAA"
"AWWW"
exclaimed the other five exclaimed.
dahye and jeno caught the eye of other students walking around, they all stood there with shocked faces. the boy everyone adores, was carrying dahye.
"can someone hold her crutches?"
jeno asked.
"i will, i will"
eunji said and took dahye's crutches.
"don't lose them, i can't walk in those"
dahye reminded with a laugh.
"jeno's here to carry you"
gahyun teased and they all "awed" and said "true"
they all started walking and all eyes were on them— jeno and dahye, to be specific. some students were looking at them with envy and anger. of course, who wouldn't want to be carried by the one the only lee jeno? dahye looked up at jeno and couldn't help but smile.
"like what you're looking at?"
jeno smirked and looked down.
"i wasn't looking at anything"
dahye replied and looked away, blushing.
"i feel like i'm watching a kdrama scene"
jaeyu said from behind them.
"agreed. this would be a great kdrama"
jaemin added.
"this needs a song to make it look even more like a kdrama"
gahyun said.
"eunji, your time to shine! sing an iconic kdrama song"
she continued and eunji started singing "stay with me" by chanyeol and punch.
at that moment, dahye was even more embarrassed as she saw everyone in the hallways and staircase looking at them, so she hid her face on jeno's chest. she heard jeno chuckle and her friends taking pictures of the two.
