chapter seventeen — take care of yourself
"your daughter is fine, she didn't break her leg, luckily, but just sprained her ankle. she'll need to use crutches and needs to stay in bed for three days"
the doctor said and left after dahye and her parents said thank you.
"let's go home, brownies are waiting for you"
dahye's mom said and help her walk.
"i'll take care of the hospital bill, you can bring her to the car"
her sad said and handed dahye's mom the car keys.
the two arrived at their car and sat. soon, her dad came into the car with a frustrated look on his face.
"what's wrong?"
dahye asked.
"nothing to worry about, i just need to work more to earn more salary"
her dad replied.
"i can help by getting a part time job after my leg is healed"
she offered.
"no, no. focus on your studies. i will help by opening an online thrift store, if you like you can give me your old clothes to sell with mine"
dahye's mom said and dahye nodded.
as they arrived home and dahye attempted to go straight to the kitchen, forgetting that her leg isn't in good condition.
"dahye, your leg isn't okay"
her mom shook her head and helped her walk in, along with her dad.
dahye finished eating and went to wash the dishes but was stopped by her dad.
"no, go rest"
her dad helped her walk up the stairs.
"now don't leave the bed and call me or mom if you need anything"
"okay okay"
dahye replied and flopped on her bed, she noticed her phone charging on her bed, which she left before going to the hospital, with tons of messages popping out.
