chapter twenty six — meet me at the park at five
dahye and jeno hi-fived after they arrived at the vending machine.
"gahyun better love me for this"
dahye said, pulling out her wallet to grab some money for the vending machine but jeno stopped her.
"i'll get it for you"
jeno said and placed in some money.
"no, jeno"
she whined.
"shush, here"
he handed her the bottle of orange juice and opened his bottle of orange juice.
"how do i repay you?"
dahye asked.
"there's one way. meet me at the park at five, the one across the school"
jeno replied.
"so we're not staying back?"
dahye asked and jeno shook his head and said,
"well, we are but at the park"
"why though?"
"you'll see"
jeno smiled and dahye looked at him, confused.
"bye guys!"
dahye said and waved at her friends.
"wait what, who's gonna pick you up?"
eunji asked.
"i'm going with a taxi"
"woah, what's the occasion?"
jaeyu asked and they all looked at dahye, waiting for her response.
"jeno asked me to meet him at the park across the school"
dahye replied and the four instantly squealed.
"dahye is getting a boyfriend!"
gahyun cheered.
"you need to get ready for his confession!"
jaeyu clapped her hands with excitement.
they all jumped around dahye.
"okay, i'll be going see you all tomorrow"
dahye waved and walked out the school, looking for a taxi.
"tell us what happens!"
she heard jaeyu shout from afar so she raised her hand up showing the thumbs up sign.
dahye eventually found a taxi and on the way home, she called her dad to tell him that she is on the way home with a taxi because jeno asked to meet her at the park. of course, dahye's dad teased her and said that she was getting a confession from jeno. she arrived at home after about fifteen minutes and payed the driver then knocked on the door, waiting for her mom to open it. when it opens, her mom looked at her with confusion.
"how did you get home?"
dahye's mom asked, closing the door after dahye got in.
"taxi, jeno asked me to meet him at the park"
she explained and squealed, maybe she was actually excited. okay never mind, she was really excited.
"aww, is that so? dahye's is getting a boyfriend"
her mom teased and laughed.
"i'll get ready"
dahye said and walked to her room. she showered, changed, put on some make up as she wanted to look good for jeno. she walked out wearing a white blouse with a black skirt and went to put on her shoes.
"you look so pretty"
dahye's mom praised.
"it's been a long time since i saw you dress up"
she continued.
"thanks mom"
dahye laughed and took her handbag, walking out the door after saying bye to her mom. dahye walked out of her neighborhood and looked for a taxi, after she got one, she told the driver her destination. dahye's heart was pounding out of her chest as the taxi got closer and closer to the park.
